Grand-daughter really liked this. She can enter her thoughts and feel they are safe enough. Of course the design she favors was a hit.

Hard cover and cover design is good. Customized locking feature is convenient. However, the binding is coming apart after only having it for 2 months and opening it 6 to 10 times.

I am a dude, and I recently wanted to get into Journaling in an attempt to improve my mental health and keep records of my life to look back on in the future. I write about a lot of very private things, so I knew I had to have something with a lock. This book exceeds all of my expectations! First, the lock is a very good quality lock, and it is built into the binder. You don't have to keep up with a key, or anything like that which was a plus for me. I also love the format of the pages. There is a place to mark the day of the week, the date, the entry number, and the weather for the day. I thought that was really cool that it included that because it helps keep everything organized. I do have one complaint, though! Where the actual spine of the book was glued to the outer portion of the book that is the outer shell/locking mechanism, the book came unglued. This wasn't really a big deal because some Gorilla Glue fixed it in a jiffy good as new, so it really didn't harm anything, and you couldn't even tell that it ever happened, and I am also confident that it will now never happen again. Other than that hiccup, this book has been perfect. I even bought a few extra to use when I fill this one up, and I want to use one to store like my very important login credentials/crypto seed phrases. That way if I ever lose access to my Password Manager, I have a backup of the most important information that I have. I can also store the login information to my Password Manager in there, so I can never be locked out! As you can see, the issue didn't stop me from giving it 5 stars because I truly like it that much!

I recently purchased the diary with a colorful cover displaying a large picture of a tree. I am thrilled with my purchase. Overall I really enjoy the look and build of this journal. The locking mechanism is probably one of the best. I also really enjoy the feel of the book in my hand. It's sturdy but not too cumbersome. It does have some drawbacks though. The printing of the picture isn't as clear/sharp as I'd like. Though it is still nice. However, having the word "Notebook" printed on there as well really distracts from the beauty of this journal. I don't know why it is there. So I docked a star for that. I wish it had more pages. Or was a little cheaper in price. I can see myself buying more if available but it would be nice to have a little more writing space.

Easy to set lock. However it is important not to close the book by accident while setting lock. I have this one and another from the same brand I accidently shut the other one and couldn't reopen it. It is an outstanding product though . The color for this one is almost as it appears on screen.

This book I use for journaling and some shadow work. I figure I don't have to make the book look any type of way as long as I get my feelings and my truths down on paper. I love this because my thoughts are private. There is a combination lock on the side and for me, that was a locked in deal! I have a sense of security and freedom when I use this and that's important to me. I have bought 2 of these books and am about to buy another one. You will not be disappointed if you buy this.

This journal has no shimmer at all. It’s like a printed low res picture and that’s it. I’m only keeping it because it’s a hard cover with the lock so it keeps my entries private but I think it’s ugly.
