How many mg per capsule?

there are 433mg for 6 capsules. I take 6 in the am and 6 in the pm. This is the only form of mag that I have found that I can take daily large doses and it not give me loose stools. I take it for migraines and have for about two years and I am convinced it helps a ton. I ran out once for about a week till my shipment came and I got a huge headache. Now they do make this in tablets, but they are large and I am not so good at swallowing big pills. It is worth it to me to take more capsules. The tablets you can take less of and get the same mg amount. Hope that helps.

I have herniated discs in my neck and a pinched nerve will this help?

Calcium tightens whereas magnesium relaxes. I've used this magnesium for a decade or more & it certainly helps the muscles. I would think it would help your pinched nerve along w/ b-complex as well. I've read many years ago that herniated discs are the result of a copper deficiency along w/needing cal/mag/vit d because minerals work together. You want to keep your copper/zinc in balance. You may also want to have a consult w/a chiropractor, but minerals & some vitamins should help you, many things out of whack in our bodies are due to lack of minerals & not lack of a pharm drug. For instance my husband's pinched nerve in his neck keeps at bay from taking b-complex alone. Hope my reply helped you, good luck!!

Can this capsule be opened and emptied? Have to give it to my kid who can't swallow

It is not a capsule it is an elongated pill.  I usually break them in half, since I take half a pill a day.  It could be crushed in with a pestle and mortar into a powder.  I take all my pills together - 2 Calcium, 2 Niacin, 2 Flaxseed Oil, 1/2 Magnesium and every other day a Baby Aspirin by chewing up half a banana, then throw the pills into my mouth and mix them with the banana and swallow.  It sure makes them go down easy.  :)
