No, there is no built-in on/off switch, however, you can install a switch on the positive lead from the 12v source.

I would rate the pump as very quiet while operating

What are the wires for coming out of the pump?

Pump is 12 volt. Red hot black ground. Has instructions to wire. Pump gas pressure switch that shuts on and off as when faucet is turned. I suggest adding switch in hot side so you can completely shut down .
