This makes some really cute hairstyles and is simple to use. You can take an everyday ponytail and turn it into something not so ordinary with these tools and the elastic cutter is great I love being able to just slice the elastic instead of having to pull it out of mine or my daughter's hair and it isn't hard to use it either. It came with the tools and a bunch of little clear elastics in a cute little carrying case that has a nice seal top.

You will receive a plastic zip-top storage bag (like a Ziplock bag, not an actual zipper) with ~500 small elastics and some tools. The elastics are a good size and relatively strong - they are very good for securing the ends of braids. If you can easily get them out of your hair without using the tool to cut them out, you can reuse them. The tool to cut the bands out works well, but it is essentially a sharp razor blade with a handle so you must be cautious. There is some plastic around it, but the gaps are big enough where it would be quite easy to cut your finger or your hair. As such, this is not a tool suitable for a child to use. Overall, it is a useful set, but it does seem a bit overpriced for a bunch of pieces of plastic in my opinion.

I have never been very good at fixing my daughter's hair in anything other than a ponytail. The good news is that with this tool, that's all you need to know how to do! Because I'm not the most proficient stylist, I was disappointed that there weren't any instructions included for how to use it. I would have loved a little booklet with pictures of different styles you can create and instructions for how to create them. I was able to go back to the listing and find videos that helped, but it would have been nice to have them included. Once I knew what I was doing, it was easy to create a variety of fun styles with ease.The set comes with two different-sized tools in a handy little carry case with tons of clear rubber bands and a three rubber band cutters. I love the little rubber band cutter -- I'd never seen those before, and they make getting the rubber bands out so easy! If this set had included instructions I could have given it 5 stars. The product itself is great and my daughter loves it!

So, you do get exactly what they say, which is a bunch of rubber bands, and some plastic hair gadgets. There are no instructions at all, which really disappointed me, because I was hoping there would be some hairstyles to follow. But there was nothing. There are some pictures and directions online but nothing is included here. Also, The gadget to pull the ponytails through is too long for the little plastic bag that it comes in so it poked a hole through it. Definitely not worth $20.I do like the gadgets to pull the ponytails through. I know how to use those because I’ve been using them for years. However, the gadget to cut the rubber bands out with something new to me. It’s not that hard to figure out. But I do wish there had been some instructions with new hairstyles to try out.

This hair set is exactly what I was expecting and needing. The listing and photos are accurate and it is well made. It is durable and a great value too. I highly recommend!

I use a ton of those small hair ties in my daughters hair and also struggle with big bulky scissors trying to cut them out. This little gadget is so cool. Works flawlessy and makes taking down her hair so much easier. Do be careful though not to let little ones use these by themselves because if not shown how to use it they can accidentally cut their hair or touch the blade. But for teens and adults- PERFECT!

I was thinking that these would come with some kind of instructions on how to use them, but they did not. I did manage to find some videos on here that show how to use them a little bit, but I feel like it is going to take me a lot of practice to be able to use them in my hair. I have very, very long thick hair, but I am able to get the wands through. Hopefully after I watch some more videos, I will be able to use them because they can make really unique hair styles and I am tired of just the same old styles!

The media could not be loaded.  This is a nice set. The plastic is a good plastic on the Topsy tail tools flimsy enough to bend and pull through the hair but not so flimsy that at just flops around. The blades on the band cutters are sharp so be careful. The clear elastic bands are good bands they don't snap when stretched & they don't stretch out either. They are good thick like the goody brand. Comes in a nice ziploc reusable carrying case to keep everything together & organized
