Highly detailed (perhaps monotonous) book about everything a pilot should know about his airplane. The book is straightforward and gets right to the point. It is a great book if you can't fall asleep at night; it will do the trick. Nevertheless, I have learned a lot by indulging myself in it.

Great textbook with descriptions of aircraft systems. For 30 dollars updated diagrams with color would be appreciated. At the end of each chapter there is a list of study questions.

Speaking as an almost 30 year career pilot, I wish to say this book is a great piece of text, a winner, based on what I can see, and credit should be given where due. Excellent work by the author! However, if you enjoy looking at nondescript and essentially indiscernible ink smudges (see accompanying ink photos) in place of clear diagrams/photos then this is for you.So, yet again, I find myself having purchased a so-called “ASA publication”, only to find I could have done a better job myself in borrowing an original from somewhere and photocopying it with my 6-year old bog standard Epson printer running on third party ink.Now, just to be absolutely crystal clear to those with (diagnosed or not) a propensity to be easily confused in the face of sage advice, I am NOT advocating or suggesting the breaching of any copyright laws (local or otherwise) as that would be just so unspeakably terrible! Don’t don’t do it folks! But seriously, this so-called book from Amazon is an utter waste of paper and an insult to those trying to read its content.I don’t know what the deal is here but if somebody has been given the rights to print somebody else’s stuff at least make sure you do a half decent job, please, especially if you intend to vend the product at $33.00, which it is this not worth .As I personally cannot see the the level detail apparently intended to be shown in the various images/diagrams I find this tome unsatisfactory and unable to add it to my library.Therefore, for me, I have no option but to initiate a return. I do not know what the original or ebook version is like, by comparison, but maybe those could be a better alternative.So, on a finishing note, any publisher/author willing to charge upwards of $30 for a product this shocking - especially an informative publication aimed at the aviation community - should hang their sorry heads in shame, the really should.

book was in worse shape than what was described and had inappropriate things written inside of it.

Overall condition of book was decent, look kinda old. No marks in book. Still very usable though. I like it. A++
