I brought this in addition to a full set of cartidges for my printer that I brought at the end of last year. Its good that an individual black cartridge is available as to keep having to buy a complete set of cartridges as you only need one is a bit ridiculous. Its good to have a standby. One would always like the replacement cartridges to be cheaper. You always need to remember that when cleaning the print heads a certain amount of ink is used, more if the cartridges are not made by the manufacturer. If you can afford the initial outlay the new printer which has bottles of ink is the better buy but is expensive.

If you have an epson printer and are doing photo quality prints, especially for resale, you must use this ink. I haven't found an epson printer yet that works 100% on fake inks and I've owned a few over the years.
