7" Double Din Car Stereo Compatible with Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, 240W 4.2-Channel Dual Subwoofer Ports, Touchscreen, Bluetooth 5.3, Mirrorlink, Backup Camera, FM/AM Car Radio

When searching for a new radio for my 2011 Honda Ridgeline, I needed something affordable, but I also wanted a touch screen with the ability for wireless Android auto, and specifically a volume knob. I searched many different options, and finally came across the SjoyBring JOY-W005. For the price, it seemed had many great reviews, and features that other radios just didn't have. It even comes with a backup camera. Full disclosure, I have installed it yet, but when I do I will update my review once figure out a way to mount it. The instructions were very coherent, and detailed. Even for a novice. I've installed many radios in my life, so I didn't need much direction. Once it turned on, the screen was bright and crisp. For a radio so inexpensive, I was not expecting that. The touch screen seemed a little laggy at first, but once I pulled off the protective screen cover, and calibrated the touch screen, it seemed much better. There are options to adjust almost every setting, and I really love the EQ. It seems to be very effective. In the loudness feature gives you really good low end umph. Even for stock speakers. I was a little nervous about the fact that you could only contact customer support through email, or Facebook. I opted for Facebook, and had a response within 10 minutes ! I couldn't believe it! So far, I'm very happy with the unit, it is very easy to use, and very easy to set up wireless carplay, or Android auto. It literally gives you directions on the screen. This thing is customizable in almost every way, and if you're on the fence about which affordable touch screen radio to buy, this is the one! The instructions even give you detailed directions about how to set up different versions of steering wheel controls for your volume and what not. I called my wife with it, and she did say my voice sounded a little tinny, but I'm sure that could be solved by installing a microphone which it has a port for on the back. I love that it has multiple amplifier preamp outputs for front and rear, and dedicated subwoofer outputs. I haven't driven with it at night yet, but when you turn on your headlights, the screen will dim, and the navigation turns dark. I am absolutely astonished by the value of this radio! In terms of the fitment in my Ridgeline with a scoshe fit kit, I didn't need to use any of the three bezels they sent with the unit . It just fit perfectly! My only complaint would be that the volume knob is recessed within my dashboard, but that is not the fault of the actual radio, but of the contours of my dashboard itself. All in all, I would highly recommend this unit for anyone looking for a budget radio that just works, and checks all the boxes. It also has a USB input, and a MicroSD card slot. So if you wanted to build your own playlists, you could have them at the drop of a hat. But it works great with Spotify, and Pandora. Absolutely great value!

After 23 years of use, the factory infotainment system in my 2002 Tacoma stopped working. I began looking for an extremely simple replacement radio as I did not intend to upgrade speakers or add an additional subwoofer. After lots of reviews, this stereo kept showing up in my recommended items from Amazon. I figured for the price it would be hard to go wrong. I ordered the vehicle specific within harness adapters for my year/make/model and this head unit. Wiring was extremely easy with the adapters. Installation is very vehicle dependent, but once the dash was apart and the old radio was out the factory radio brackets bolted right to the unit. I dot not need a bezel around the receiver as it fit perfectly. I requested the updated files and a new boot image. Customer support was extremely quick to respond and provide all of the needed files. They recommend not using a USB drive that is larger than 32 gigs, and the 32 gig drive I used worked fine. Files updated quickly and I have a new boot screen. The backup camera is crisp and works well. If there is a single warning I would provide anyone considering this unit it would be to measure the length of the backup camera cord if you own a pickup. I routed mine through the firewall and then followed the frame to the center of the rear bumper. I only had a few inches of excess wire to spare - so a full size long bed truck might be a stretch (02 Tacoma Crew Cab for reference.) Apple car play works flawless and is Bluetooth. No need to connect via USB. So far the functionality has been flawless. I cannot speak to longevity as it’s only recently installed, but if I get several trouble free years out of this unit I cannot imagine a better bang for the buck. I wouldn’t anticipate audiophiles flocking to this as an option, but if you are looking for a fantastic replacement radio that drops into a double din and gives you a backup camera I sincerely doubt you can do better for the price than this unit.

I recently decided to upgrade the audio system in my 2010 GMC Canyon, and I couldn't be happier with my choice of the JoyBring Wireless Double Din Car Stereo. One of the standout features of this stereo is its compatibility with a 5-channel amplifier using a 6-channel RCA cable. This setup works perfectly and has significantly improved the audio quality in my car. The 4-channel RCA outputs for the main speakers and dedicated subwoofer RCA allow for installation in a high quality system. I would rather buy this unit for $140 instead of a $400 unit that does the same thing, saving hundreds that I can spend on an amp that ultimately will sound much better and louder. I also appreciate the 10-band EQ settings, which allow me to fine-tune the audio to my preferences. The physical volume knob is easy to use and has a push-to-mute function, which is handy when I need to quickly silence the sound. Many aftermarket radios do not have a real knob which really sucks when you want to turn the volume up or down fast. The included backup camera is a great addition. I have not installed it yet. Install looks simple, mount it on the back of the vehicle, tap a ground and reverse light power and run a single cable to the head unit. Connecting to the wireless CarPlay was a breeze, and it works flawlessly, even better than the system in my brand new Ford. Installing the stereo was straightforward, thanks to the easy mounting holes. The customer support team was also fantastic. I emailed them at 9PM and by the next morning, they helped me install a GMC startup logo, which added an OEM feel to my truck.. Overall, the JoyBring Wireless Double Din Car Stereo has exceeded my expectations. It competes with head units that are much more expensive. It has not only improved the audio quality in my car but also added the convenience and functionality of apple carplay, without needing to plug in my phone. If you're looking to upgrade your car's system, I highly recommend this stereo. Very impressive for the $.

9/25/24 update I've taken all I can stand of this stereo. It constantly loses connection, some times it will reconnect, when it doesn't it won't let you switch to radio, it will keep trying to reconnect ever few seconds then go back to the stereo, then try to reconnect, then back. The only way to stop it is to shut the car off. Now I can't talk on the phone as no sound will come out. I have to switch my phone to use the speaker in the phone rather then through the stereo. I absolutely regret buying this junk. Get a Jenson, not much more and then one in my other car has worked great for the last 2 years. Not a bad stereo, just not a good one, not even for the money. First, after installation I found that I cannot have navigation and listen to local radio. I can on my cheap Jenson and my factory stereos with Android auto. The company refunded some of my money so I would keep the stereo. For my use I could accept this. You cannot plug in and use Android auto but it will mirror your phone. This is annoying since that connection seems to be more reliable and I still need to charge my phone so I still have to plug it in. The wireless connects great when it connects, when it doesn't it is the most annoying thing there is. It will keep trying, every 30 seconds or so it will shut off the radio and try again, then you get the radio back, then it will try again, then back to radio. Even selecting radio in the menu, it will keep doing that. I would not recommend this stereo, I am torn hoping it will fail so I can justify ordering a Jenson like I have in my Mustang that I plug into rather than wireless. Facebook is the only way to reach the company which is also annoying, they don't have an actual web site. I get this is a cheap stereo but its not that much cheaper than a name brand low end stereo. The main reason I went for this was for the knob to control the volume rather than buttons only. I'm not really impressed with the knob, it feels like it will come off any time.

I wanted a double DIN replacement for the stock and outdated Pioneer for the 2012 Scion tC I just purchased in February 2024. My requirements were that it had to be a touch screen, have Apple CarPlay, have an analog volume knob, and with an aesthetic design that wasn't too busy. This SJoyBring 7" touch screen with CarPlay seemed to be the right choice. I've had several head units with CarPlay but this is the first with wireless, and so far I'm pretty impressed; I had one issue where my phone failed to connect to Bluetooth, but restarting the radio resolved that. Bluetooth still seems like a problematic technology at times (it's gotten more stable over the years but still has issues), so any device might have similar issues. The touch screen has good resolution and touch response, and the settings and customization are abundant for such an inexpensive unit. Installation was fairly simple, and I was most impressed with the two very thorough instruction booklets that came in the box (one for installation and the other for operation), complete with clear pictures in color. Installation manual indicates how to find the correct wiring harnesses and dash kit for your vehicle, plus a particular interface module needed for the steering wheel controls to work with the unit. The radio also comes with a backup camera which I haven't installed yet, but I've installed a similar one on my last car and it was fairly straightforward. Additionally, SJoyBring's support is incredibly responsive, professional, and efficient. They advertise in the installation manual that they can assist in updating the unit with a custom startup screen, either a user submitted picture/photo or a vehicle manufacturer logo that they can provide. I emailed support the night I installed the radio and had a response within 10 minutes containing instructions for updating the head unit's firmware and startup screen (see attached video of my custom "Scion" startup screen). All in all I'm very happy with this product. Update 3/28/24: There's one "feature" that this head unit has that frustrates me enough to drop my previous 5 star rating to 4. When starting the car my phone automatically connects via Bluetooth (as it should) and CarPlay launches. This is a little annoying in itself, as I feel the head unit should boot in the last state it was in when it last powered off, but not a big deal. However, if I switch to listen to the radio, for example, any incoming message to my phone will automatically switch the radio to CarPlay. There's no way around this; the radio stops playing every single time I get a message. I emailed Support and was told that to stop that from happening I would need to disable Bluetooth on my phone, which would be rather impractical since I often decide to switch to CarPlay mid-drive. I've had two stereos with CarPlay (stock VW and a Pioneer) where CarPlay was wired only (USB), and this never happened. I feel like this could be "fixed" with a software update or something.

I bought this radio for my 2012 prius C. It came with installation instructions and operating instructions. This was my first radio install, so it took me a few hours before it was complete. TLDR; The radio works great. Android auto works well, my speakers sound just as good as before but with more customization and control. Customer service responded timely and I was able to update my radio and put on a Toyota boot logo. Tuning and programing the radio was very easy. Bluetooth works well, touch screen is nice and responsive, and I always enjoyed having a knob to adjust volume even if the steering wheel controls can do it as well. The radio comes with a remote control that takes the little circular batteries, but I don't find the remote necessary for my needs. If there is a feature you dislike you can choose to turn it off like auto connecting android auto. Like the other reviews the screen is very bright during night time. I had adjusted it to almost it's lowest setting. In the instructions it tells you that you will need to purchase: 1. Stereo Wiring harness for your vehicle. I used Red Wolf stereo harness for 1992-2019 Toyota. 2. Antenna adapter. I used Anina radio adapter for 2010-2019 Toyota. 2. Dash kit. I purchased the Metra 95-8239B Double DIN installation kit. 3. If your car has them, a steering wheel control (SWC) interface. I purchased the Axxess ASWC-1 version. There is a product that made my install incredibly easier as there was no soldering. WAGO 221-2401 Lever nuts compact splicing inline wires. I also used a wire stripping tool so I could tap into the pre-existing wires as the instructions for the SWC needs specific connections depending on your vehicle, and if you choose to install the rear camera included you'll have to tap into the rear reverse light for power. The instructions that comes with the radio is great and simple and guided me to a easy installation.

I have not installed this 7” Double Din Car Stereo yet, but I wanted to share my initial impressions based on the features and build quality out of the box. The unit appears well-designed with a responsive 7-inch touchscreen that feels modern and easy to navigate. One of the biggest selling points for me was the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, which should make hands-free calling, navigation, and media playback much more convenient once installed. It also includes Bluetooth 5.3, which is a nice upgrade for faster and more stable connections, along with mirror link support and built-in FM/AM radio. The added backup camera input is another useful feature for improving safety when reversing, especially for older vehicles. The 240W 4.2-channel output with dual subwoofer ports is impressive on paper and should provide solid sound performance once paired with the right speakers. The overall layout of the controls and interface seems user-friendly and straightforward. At this stage, I can’t comment on performance during real use, but the feature set is very promising. I’m looking forward to having it installed and seeing how it performs in daily driving.

Writing an unbiased review about this head unit – no strings attached. I believe an important review can provide others with feedback and clarity about the product they're buying. With that being said, my overall impression of this unit was very good. While this brand might seem subpar compared to big names like Pioneer, Kenwood, and Alpine, it offers about 90% of the functionality you'll need, including front and rear camera capabilities, radio, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. For me, the main attraction was wireless CarPlay for my Apple iPhone. Occasionally, I use the radio to adjust sound quality and settings; I don't need navigation since people nowadays prefer using their phones for that. Another cool feature is the mirror functionality. Unexpectedly, I found myself watching Netflix or YouTube on the screen during road trips to keep passengers or my kid company, despite the potential danger of watching movies while driving. Sound quality was exceptionally crisp – noticeably better than my factory head unit. The screen is ridiculously bright, even at half brightness, which is cool for navigating during the day but can be uncomfortable to adjust at night. I wish it had an auto-dim feature. There's a very small lag when swiping or pressing, though most users won't notice or care. It's not as fluid as Pioneer or Alpine, but it doesn't bother me. Customer service was unexpectedly on point. I contacted them about a custom boot logo, wallpapers, and firmware update, and they had everything sorted within a day – the easiest process I've experienced for any head unit updates and custom boot logos. I'd give this head unit a 8.5/10. It's affordable, has all the functionality I need, and even came with a backup camera that I haven't installed yet but desperately need for my car. Would I buy this head unit again? Most definitely and I would recommend this to others who are looking for a budget unit for their cars. I will try to provide another follow up in a few weeks to see how things fair up to daily usage. 1 mo update: So far, I have had zero issues, and it works great. It instantly connects to the phone upon ignition, and the radio works flawlessly, and functions as expected. However, I can't say the same for the backup camera because I have been super lazy to install it so I can't comment on that part. Honestly, it still feels like a new car, at least compared to what I had with the old nostalgic retro buttons. It truly feels revamped.
