Built like a brick wall, this is an impressive pole. Assembles with easy, it's sturdy as can be..... we'll see, next windstorm ! I added the light, and did a great job on the hole. Don't skimp !

This is my 3rd flag pole. I have a very windy area where the pole goes. One pole broke off, the other bowed badly. I watched as a bad storm went through. The pole bent just short of 40 degrees and returned to about 10 degrees after the storm. After seeing that, I decided to go for a stronger pole. This pole is 3x the gauge metal as the one it's replacing. I ordered gray but this is very, very dark gray at best. It looks like flat black. The new pole fit the old pole sleeve exactly. I did not have to dig or work with new concrete. One reviewer mentioned the rope cleat being too low. I put that section higher. The cleat is now 5' plus high and easily accessible. After seing the sturdy gauge of this pole, I'm confident it will stand up to my storms. I might even go back to flying double flags.

This flagpole seems to be fairly sturdy, but don't believe the photos provided. The walls of the pipe are NOT as thick as they portray. the pvc sleeve it comes with does not fit snug to the bottom section of the pole. When there is a decent breeze, the pole wobbles a couple of inches at the top. The sections of pole slip together, there is no mechanical fastener to them, so there is flex there, too. Assembly was easy and fast. The flag itself is quality. I like the grey color I chose rather than white or black. It has survived a few decent storms so far, but it remains to be seen if it will last long.

Pretty decent. Easy to install

The flagpole gets four stars. It looks good and seems to be good quality but I have two complaints. First, the cleat that you wrap the rope around is pre-drilled to mount only 28" from the ground. This is way too low. Was this designed to be used by a five-year old? It should be at least 48" so you don't have to bend way over or get on your knees to wrap the rope. Second, while the pole itself is constructed of good thickness aluminum, the pulley truck is very thin pot-metal that cracked when we were screwing it to the pole. Which brings us to why I gave a four-star product a five-star rating. I contacted customer service and explained to them what happened regarding the pulley truck and they immediately sent out a replacement (no charge). The person I spoke to was very helpful and very friendly... Thank You. Five-star customer service combined with a four-star product averages out to a 4.5 star rating, rounded up to five stars.

Very well built and easy setup

This is a very good flag pole. It’s sustained 75. Mph winds without any damage. It’s held is paint very well. It’s been in service for over 2 years now. I look forward to seeing Old Glory flying over my house for many more years.

I bought this pole after another one I had snapped in the wind. This pole has a stepped design and is much more durable. It doesn't bend in the wind at all! The diameter is larger than the other 25ft pole, which required me to dig up the bucket and switch to a new sleeve and bucket, but it was well worth the effort.
