Great Power Supply
This is a great power supply for 1200W but it was a steep price. I want with another brand and after about two weeks that power supply went out so I decided to go with this brand since it been around for awhile and is a manufacturer of power supplies for other companies also. It still going strong over two or three months without any issues.I bought two of these, 1 for my son and the other for my computer and they both worked well. I would recommend buying these if your machines need 1200W or less power. This also comes with the 600W power supply cable and is the new standard for the Nvidia 40 cards. The only thing I would do differently is buy the gold version of this as there is that big of a difference between gold and platinum efficiency ratings.

Runs a 5090 without spending a fortune. Seasonic quality.
As expected from Seasonic it works perfectly and has plenty of cables. The were nice enough to send me the updated power cable for my 5090 for the cost of shipping despite being past the 90 day cutoff from day of purchase. It hasn't melted yet after a couple months of gaming. Power supply is quiet and I don't notice it. As it should be.

HEADS UP — READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY A POWER SUPPLY FROM SEASONIC
If you are considering buying a Seasonic power supply because of their advertised 10- or 12-year warranty, I strongly recommend you read my experience first. On August 1, my workstation suddenly experienced a power disruption, and the Seasonic power supply completely failed. The unit was only nine months old.Fortunately, I immediately took my workstation to a professional computer repair shop. They diagnosed the problem and confirmed that the power supply was completely dead.Because I rely on this workstation, I decided in good faith not to wait weeks for Seasonic. I purchased another brand-new power supply at my own expense so I could get my system back up and running. I then contacted Seasonic to deal with the defective unit under their warranty. That is when the nightmare began.Today is August 27 — almost one month later — and this warranty process is still an unbelievable experience.First, I was instructed to complete an RMA. The RMA process itself was a disaster. I spent nearly two hours trying to complete the online form, but the website repeatedly failed. I reported the problem to Seasonic, and eventually they had to handle the process another way.I also had to argue with them over the return shipping. I told them that I should not have to pay to return a power supply that failed after only nine months. Eventually, Seasonic provided a return label, and I shipped the defective unit back.Throughout this process, I repeatedly made one thing absolutely clear:I purchased a brand-new power supply, and because it failed within the first year, I expected a brand-new replacement — not a refurbished, used, or downgraded unit. After waiting, I was told the replacement was being shipped. Then came another problem. The shipment required a signature.I missed the first delivery by only a few minutes and had to spend an entire day waiting around for the package. The following day, I again had to wait until the end of the day before the package finally arrived. That's two days of my valuable time wasted simply trying to receive a warranty replacement. But the biggest shock came when I finally opened the package.Look at the condition of the package and the replacement unit in the photographs I am posting. After repeatedly telling Seasonic that I expected a brand-new replacement, this is what I received.I don't know whether this unit is refurbished, previously used, or a customer return. I cannot make that determination. But based on the condition in which it arrived, I certainly would not consider it a brand-new replacement. Also will not risk another $250 computer shop fee.And there is another issue that makes this even worse. The power supply that failed was a VERTEX GX Series ATX 3.1 unit. The replacement Seasonic sent me is an ATX 3.0 version. So I paid for the newer-generation product, the newer-generation product failed after only nine months, and instead of replacing it with an equivalent brand-new unit, Seasonic sent me an older-generation version. How is that an acceptable warranty replacement?I have been in the post-production business for approximately 40 years, and I have dealt with countless manufacturers and technology companies during that time. When an expensive piece of equipment fails within its first year, that should be an alarm bell for the manufacturer. A company that stands behind its product should be doing everything possible to take care of the customer — especially when the product is advertised with a 10- or 12-year warranty.Instead, my experience has been the complete opposite. The RMA process was frustrating. The website failed.I had to fight over return shipping.I had to purchase another power supply out of my own pocket plus $250 installation just to keep my workstation operational.I lost two days waiting for a signature-required delivery. And after all of that, I received a replacement that appears to be in questionable condition and is an older ATX version than the product I originally purchased. And I'm not the only person reporting problems. There are numerous negative customer reviews describing power-supply failures within 6 months and warranty frustrations. So this is my warning to anyone considering Seasonic because of the advertised 10- or 12-year warranty:Don't just look at the number of years printed in the warranty.Look at what happens when you actually need that warranty.I bought Seasonic because I believed I was buying a reliable, high-performance product from a company that stood behind its warranty. After this experience, I deeply regret that decision.I'm sharing this because I don't want another customer to spend hundreds of dollars on a product believing that a 10- or 12-year warranty automatically means they will receive the kind of support they reasonably expect when the product fails. Please look at the photographs and make your own judgment. This has been one of the worst warranty experiences I have encountered in my 40 years in the post-production business. And honestly, I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy.Think twice before buying.

Great High Quality ATX 3.1 PSU (2026 Update)
UPDATE: When I originally ordered this PSU it was ATX 3.0 and my unit had some issues with mild coil whine even after a replacement. I switched to an NZXT C1500 and sold the original PSU to a friend. I had originally given the PSU a 4-star rating.I just changed my PC case to downsize my build foot print as such while the NZXT C1500 fit it was the maximum possible PSU length and I couldn’t reinstall the cable/SSD cover and so I decided to reordered this PSU. I was pleasantly surprised to see that its been refreshed and it’s now an ATX 3.1 with a 12VHPWR 2x6 it’s got a really distinct blue head on the connector now which will easily tell you if it’s fully seated hopefully mitigating any issues or potential fire hazards.Another new surprise is that now Seasonic includes cable combs for your PSU cables. I always thought this was a strange omission since they made such a big deal about the individually sleeved cables. This makes the cables look much cleaner in my build and overall elevates the PSU compared to before. The last and nicest surprise for me is that at idle or under load my PSU is nearly slient. I can’t hear any coil whine and it’s only audible via the fan when my ear is directly next to the case where the PSU is. This is excellent and now the only coil whine I hear in my build is rather obnoxiously from my 4090 FE.Overall this is great revision to an already excellent PSU. My only real gripe is the price. There are plenty of other PSUs in this spec at lower price points. That said Seasonic is well known for their reliability and honoring their lengthy 12 year warranties without fail.New rating for the ATX 3.1 variant is 5-stars.

I can't believe the power cord is only 4.8 feet!!
The power supply has no issues, everything worked in my desktop build. The 600 W connector had to be unplugged and plugged into the supply several times before it worked. The connection is very tight, and it wasn't fully inserted initially. After several attempts, it was fully inserted and flush with the surface. It would be nice to have covers for unused power connectors inside the case to prevent dust build up, at least for SATA and PCIe. The covers are hard to find.** The power cable is only around 4.8 feet, should be at least 6 feet. ** At least state the power cord length in the specs.

Actually ATX 3.1
This is an ATX 3.0 also graded for 3.1 and comes with the nice 12v cable for your 4000/5000 series GPUs. Apparently the 3.1 standard is easier for manufacturers to reach over 3.0, so this one is a sound choice indeed. Hybrid mode is quiet AF and i've yet to hear the fan kick in (5800x3d, 4090)
