Q: Can this be placed against a bedroom window?

Nothing to stop you doing that but consider condensation making it damp. It is primarily meant for doors. If you have draughty window perhaps buying window peel and stick draught proofing insulation would be more appropriate.

Q: Is this a heavy 'bean bag' type excluder?

No it's not heavy but well packed I have bought 3 for all my main doors good quality

Q: Is the ‘mint’ colour actually grey?

I’m sorry I’m unable to answer that question as I ordered one light grey draught excluder and one cream. The light grey is a lovely silver colour.
