Do not take recommend dose
This product is promoting over use of magnesium. I started to feel light headed and had stomach cramps and diarrhoea. I then looked into it further. The recommended magnesium supplement intake depends on age, sex, health conditions, and dietary intake. Here's a general guideline based on the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for total magnesium intake (from food and supplements): Adults: Men (19โ30 years): 400 mg/day Men (31+ years): 420 mg/day Women (19โ30 years): 310 mg/day Women (31+ years): 320 mg/day Pregnant women: 350โ360 mg/day Lactating women: 310โ320 mg/day --- Supplement-Specific Advice: If you're getting less magnesium from food, a supplement can help fill the gap. Most people aim for 100โ350 mg/day from supplements, depending on their diet and needs. Donโt exceed 350 mg/day of supplemental magnesium unless advised by a healthcare provider. Forms with better absorption: Magnesium glycinate, citrate, or malate (gentler on stomach). Avoid magnesium oxide for absorption concerns unless used for constipation. --- When to Supplement: Consider supplementing if you have: Low dietary intake (low in nuts, leafy greens, whole grains) Muscle cramps, fatigue, or migraines Conditions like Type 2 diabetes, GI disorders, or are on diuretics Symptoms of magnesium overdose (usually from supplements or medications, not food) can range from mild to severe, depending on how much is taken. The body generally excretes excess magnesium through urine, but very high doses can overwhelm this system. --- Mild to Moderate Overuse Symptoms: Diarrhea (very common, especially with magnesium oxide or citrate) Nausea or vomiting Abdominal cramping Lethargy or drowsiness Flushed skin --- Severe Overdose Symptoms (Toxicity): Usually occur if magnesium levels in the blood are very high (hypermagnesemia), often due to kidney problems or very high supplement doses: Low blood pressure Irregular heartbeat Muscle weakness Difficulty breathing Confusion Cardiac arrest (in extreme cases) --- Safe Limit: Upper limit for supplements: 350 mg/day for adults (excluding food sources) People with kidney disease are at higher risk for toxicity and should take magnesium only under medical supervision.
