Serves well the purpose

A good showerhead but not as a good as I was expecting especially at the price. There are better showerheads out there for much less including the Aqua Elegante 6 which is astonishingly brilliant at a quarter of the price.

TLDR; It is of rock solid construction and is a simple -yet elegant- design. Looks beautiful. Performs even better. Well worth the money and more. The low down; I have been to plenty of hotels and resorts and lived in multiple states and even a different country and NEVER have I felt pressure from a shower like this! My wife and i love strong water pressure but it is impossible to find nowadays. I bought this hoping it would at least improve our low pressure situation enough to warrant $70 (instead of the normal $40 for a shower head from Walmart to help). Took the rubber ring out and carved out the plastic behind it with a small flat head screwdriver (you don't have to take it all out because the outside ring of plastic is still a larger diameter than the metal hole the water flows through to the shower head) before I even put it on. I wasn't expecting too much. Just hoping for a good pressure to rinse off and a decent spread so I'm not dancing around in the shower to keep wet. The old shower head (a cheap 'pressure increasing' one) was set at a certain height to keep the water in the right spot. Set this one to the same, turned on the faucet, slung the shower toggle up to test it out, and got half of the bathroom wet. It was SO powerful that the wind whipped up around me and my wife said she felt the air difference from across the bathroom the instant I turned it on. It hit the back of the shower so hard at the top that it splashed everywhere until I quickly pointed it down. It has a great spread of water (hits from my head to my butt from just a foot or two away) and is powerful enough to scratch your back and exfoliate dead skin. My wife won't even use it on the highest pressure setting because it stings a little on normal skin, much less sensitive areas. Pros: -Beautiful and durable. -Great spread. -Superb pressure (with the plastic out). Cons: -Unless you try it out with it facing pretty much straight down, you are probably going to clean up a mess the first time. -For those of us using shower curtains and liners: So powerful on the highest setting that it can make your heavy duty shower liner billow like a sheet on a clothes line in a good breeze.

This is one of the best shower heads I’ve used. The build quality is solid, the spray patterns are effective, and the pressure is noticeably stronger than most standard options. Out of the box it performs very well, but if you remove the flow restrictor, the water pressure improves even further. Overall, a high-quality, reliable shower head that delivers excellent performance.

Life's too short to take wimpy showers with cheap showerheads! I bought the Speakman 5 Jet: (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0028XHSHA/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1) several years ago and recently having moved we needed another showerhead in the new house. We took the 5 jet with us so now we have two Speakmans in the new house to compare. Some of the reviews on here complain about this showerhead not being strong enough. As far as I can see, the only way that could happen is they have lousy water pressure to begin with or they didn't take the water regulator out. We took the regulator out. (the black ring and the white thing) Just to comment on how ridiculous I think water regulators in showerheads are,...My opinion is that water regulators end up causing people to use even more water because it takes a lot longer to get rinsed off. Having had the 5 jet in our previous home that did not have great water pressure and then installing it in a home that does have great water pressure is definitely proof that this showerhead or any showerhead for that matter performs best with good water pressure to begin with. If anyone has found a showerhead that can perform miracles and create pressure out of lousy pressure I would love to know! There really is no comparison on the improvement of our old house verses this house, other than to say the shower experience went from good enough to invigorating. Now to compare the 5 jet verses 6 jet for those who are interested: Both showerheads are attached to a Multi-Pure shower filter: http://www.amazon.com/MultiPure-mpsffh-Shower-Filter/dp/B002ZP346U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367082517&sr=8-1&keywords=multi-pure+shower+filter (which by the way is fantastic) This will naturally slow the stream down a bit so I assume if they weren't attached to the filter, the spray would be even more powerful. They both give us a fantastic shower even with the filter slow down. I have to say honestly that I think the 5 jet in the above link may have even a bit more "zing" than this 6 jet. Maybe because there's one less jet to push water through? At nearly half the price you get a darn good shower, but the downside is that housing of the 5 jet feels like it's made of plastic whereas this Speakman s-2252 is not. I would say if that doesn't matter to you and you're on a tight budget, go with the other. If I had it to do over again I would still choose this one because it is solid and looks like it will last forever. I wanted to add that we leave both heads on the highest spray setting and don't care about using any of the other settings. They could have just as well left that feature off as far as we're concerned. I suppose maybe for rinsing hair out one of the other settings might be useful, but the high spray works great for that.
