65020 Stylus 3-AAAA LED Pen Light, Black with Navigation Green Beam

Item is exactly as I expected: I already have several others. Due to its size, dimensions and weight, it is perfect for carrying no matter what type of clothing is being worn. It provides ample light for any dark area, including outdoors at night. The green light works very well at night.

My third Steamlight...different models, each with own purpose. I was given a model ProTac 2L powered by two CR123 lithium cells. It is very powerful for the size, 350 lumen output (which recently proved to be quite impressive to us while "lost" on a twisty, mountainous private backwoods gravel road at night in complete darkness looking for a rental cabin...walking ahead my little flashlight would light the way for a considerable distance of several hundred feet) but it is sometimes overkill for a "pocket" light. For example, on late night airplane flights or walking around the house I will need to use my hand to shield the light so as not to bother others. After a recent 24 hour air travel from US to Asia I bought this penlight; after some study I went with the green light that produces 7 lumens (a huge difference from 350). This light has proven awesome in use around the house and for travel. The light output has proved more than adequate for finding my way around hotel rooms, rental cabins, and finding stuff in my airplane seating when the lights are off. I like the green color versus white as it is easier for the eyes to get adjusted to it and then back to darkness again. I was confused at first about the different "body" colors, they actually have different led properties (color and brightness), so be aware of this when ordering. The plastic cover is, as another reviewer mentioned, cracked already and at first I wondered at its usefulness, but I find I like the light better with this piece on. I do wish it was a bit shorter. It is only slightly longer than the "standard" Bic/Papermate stick type pen sitting on my desk but I don't consider these "pocket size" either. In any case I highly recommend this light. EDIT: 1-29-2024... after 5-6 years of ownership and use. I still love this light. I was thinking "hey, I should write a review!" and then found that I already did. This is a great light for the purposes that I mentioned originally and the lumen level is just fine. I still use it pretty much daily (nightly) to get around the house in the dark. I even bought a second one as a gift for my BIL.

I have a total of 6 of these. 2 white, 3 green and a red. I use the green as a stimulus when evaluating HGN. The color green is perfect for use when other colors can get lost in other flashing lights. Batteries are AAAA and last forever. The white is perfect for use when you need a little illumination but don’t want to ruin your night vision. The red works awesome in the dark for, especially doing photography at night. All together perfect lights.

Streamlight is my go-to. I've loved their products for years and this is no different. just a simple little LED light that works great, not super bright but bright enough. I have them in blue and green and both are fantastic.
