This optical refractometer has a scale in the range of 0 - 18% brix the reading resolution is 0.1%. The scale has been magnified and high precision measurements are possible. Good for measurements of low concentration fruit juices, cutting or machining emulsions (water with oil), etc. This model is designed to give highly accurate readings with 0.2 brix divisions (accuracy is +/- 0.2 brix). Applications range from the general to the industry-specific: Examples include the control of the sugar or alcohol level in food and beverages, on-the-spot testing of petrochemicals, etc. Atc compensation range (built-in automatic temperature compensation system) from 10 - 30°c. Easy and very convenient to use. Place a few drops of the liquid on the optical part of the refractometer, cover the prism (the liquid will spread more easily over the prism), look through the eyepiece against the light (focus, if necessary) and you will be able to read the result value on the scale.
