The fresher, the better, but you can store leftover spikes for the next feeding season. Seal in a plastic bag and store in a dry place. Don't toss the label–keep it to reference next time your trees need a nutrition boost.

Can you use plant food spikes on outdoor plants?

If your "outdoor plant" is a tree or shrub, then absolutely! We also recommend our Tree & Shrub Plant Food Spikes for acid-loving plants. Our Shake 'N Feed Granular Plant Foods or Water Soluble Plant Foods are good for smaller container plants.
