Haven’t used it yet but I can tell this is just your average grill grate lifting tool. My only real complaint is that this tool is more straight than other tools I’ve had/seen. If you look at the picture of the person holding it, look at the angle of the tool when they have it in their hands and imagine what the angle of it lifting a grill grate would be. The tool has to be at a 90 degree angle to the grates versus other tools that might have a bend in the handle much lower making lifting hot grates easier. Also, the tool is on the thinner side where the bottom hook. If your grates are thinner than normal, maybe try another tool. Mine are cast iron and pretty standard sized, but the grate does have room to move. Just make sure you look at the tool before you actually use it cause there might be better options for you.

This was a well-priced and sturdy tool that makes picking up a grill grate one-handed without getting dirty or burned a breeze.

One of these grate lifters came with my barrel grill. I lost it. I missed it. This is a perfect replacement and works just like the original. Very durable, I even leave it out in the rain sometimes and it has yet to rust.

Ordered this because when we moved we lost ours on the trailer and needed to be able to adjust the grates when bbqing this is exactly what we needed and works great

Avid griller here. I used paint brush rollers for 5 years prior to pull grates Eventaly the heat melted the plastic and metal part fell out. These new ones are expensive. I wish I bought 2. Product is good. Don't pull grills while hot. I'll buy another when I feel rich. Maybe Christmas.

Good quality but too short, you burn your hands while trying to move the grill when it's hot.
