Exactly what I was looking for

Great tasting

The packaging said white miso and it looked white when it arrived but while stored in my cool dry pantry unopened, it darkened and looked more like red miso. See the pic of the unopened package of darkened miso. The flavor was still mild like white miso tho. I was worried that my sauce for my Garlicky Miso Shrimp Scampi would get too dark but happily it was the same light golden color that white miso imparts. See pic of recipe. Great taste and mixed well to make a great sauce. Really pleased with how this worked. Not pleased with the color change but the quality is still great.

The missus and I enjoy a bowl or cup of miso soup when we dine out at our favorite Japanese restaurant, so after all these years of doing so I asked myself "why not at home?". I am happy to report that this product (along with some Dashi) fits the bill quite nicely. It is the first time I have ever bought miso paste, so I have no basis for comparison to other products. Having said that, this one did not disappoint. Enjoy!

I’m not sure if it was the fact it wasn’t packaged correctly or if they just sent me a spoiled item, but the fact is is that it was both. It looks like the picture when it comes it’s brown like poop. It’s supposed to be white miso. I’m afraid to eat it because it is surely they give somebody food poisoning. and Not only that, but you can’t replace the item and you can’t return it. And they do that so they can steal your money and there’s no way you can get it back. So please do not buy this miso. The other one that I got that is actually really good and then I’m very happy with and I actually bought it twice is the (Hikari 🌸 miso, organic miso, saikyo sweet miso.) so don’t waste your time with this one by the one that I had in parentheses it comes in a square container. And it’s very good. I got it a couple times now and I’ve been happy both times in fact I’ve beaten the whole thing by myself lol. So forget this one I want them to be reported so I’m gonna try to do so. I can’t believe that they sent in completely for product like that. They’re gonna get sued and they’re gonna get someone really sick one day. Thank you for reading my review and I really hope that it helps someone ❤️

I really like the flavor and texture of this white miso. It is a good value for the money and seems high quality. It is versatile to use and very easy to use. Storage is bit odd, as the package is not resealable. We like to put some miso in a mug, add some boullion paste, and then add boiling water. Not the most traditional way to make a quick miso soup, but it works
