Journey West Men's Suede Leather Belgian Loafers for Men Slip-on Casual Penny Casual Loafers

I recently purchased a pair of suede shoes, and I’m extremely pleased with the quality and fit. The sizing was exactly as described, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. These are a great pair of budget Belgian loafers. The shape and style is spot on for Belgian Shoes’s Mr. Casual, the original Belgian loafers sold in New York. I’ve had a pair of the tassel loafers for over five years. Just because of where I was living and the weather, they were not my daily go to shoes however they have gotten a decent amount of wear. They're broken in and they are pretty comfortable for hanging around the house and going for walks. I bought another pair recently and the quality is the same as my original pair however they seem to run a half size small now. They have a rubber sole that is glued in place so when the sole wears out you’re unlikely to be able to have it resoled and new filler placed in it. I’ve heard it suggested to get a size up and put your own insoles in it. I haven’t tried this as I think they’re fine as they are. I think they’re perfectly serviceable Belgian loafers and I enjoy wearing them. They wear well and look nice. When it comes to loafers which have a relatively simple construction compared to other shoes, I don’t think you’re really going to get such a massive improvement in buying the expensive $400-$700 versions that it’s gonna be worth it, think diminishing gains. If you want leather soles, stitched welts, and cork filling, then go for the more expensive versions. If you’d like to try out the style to see if it’s for you or just want a comfortable pair of shoes that you’re not gonna cry over if they get ruined or you wear them to death and go for this.

The shoes are much more than the parts of their some. I love them, I've never purchased any items from journey west before I'm really happy these shoes. Am going to buy another pair now, this style is very popular now. I see it everywhere.

I like the “real versions” but could never spend that much on a shoe. These are a great compromise. In terms of comfort, these fit my are great on my wide-ish high instep foot, which is hard to find for me in a loafer. The soles don’t offer up much (hence one star off) but for casual wear it’s no worries. I went down a half size and with socks it’s tight, but I didn’t plan on wearing them with socks. Overall I’d get another color in them (and probably will!) I’ve gotten tons of compliments in just two days wearing them, which I never get hah Do yourself a favor and go for it!

Color was perfect. Nice chocolate color. Quality construction of shoe. I have slightly wider feet and the toe compartment fit well with no binding. They do run slightly larger than your normal size. I ordered a 9.5 and they were a little large. I returned for a size 9. Overall great looking shoe. Price of shoes are comparable to other shoes I purchased recently.

This shoe wore out quickly by losing its shape. I have bought this brand before and have had better results.
