I am just now getting around to reviewing this camp toilet after owning it a year. If you are an adult who dry camps like I do, you will appreciate this information. Most camp toilets like this model, have very small seats and sit too low to the ground. They work fine for kids but not for adults. I really did not realize that until I took it camping and then it was too late to return it. Fortunately, there is a product that you can purchase that not only raises the seat height but is the same size as a standard bathroom toilet. It also adds handles for older adults. I got the idea from a hunters magazine. I do not hunt so I did not want one with camouflage. I found this under medical supplies. It is a bedside commode but it works. It raises the seat height and is the same size as a standard home bathroom toilet. This makes it extremely more comfortable for adults to sit on. I hope this helps anyone that is thinking about purchasing one of these toilets or has purchased one. (See my photo.)

We bought 2 of these due to flooding in our area that destroyed the sewer lines. We used these for 2 months. They are at the same height of a standard toilet. My 89 year old mother used one and it provided to be extremely stable and she had no issues with it. The flushing mechanism works very well - we added some RV deodorizer to the water tank and had no odor. The surface is easy to clean. Dumping the unit was easy and each unit allowed for enough capacity for 3 people for 6 weeks.At the dumping station I saw people with much more expensive units and they functioned as this one did - it is a good buy.

This toilet worked fine for 2 years where it was used 3 times a year. Not much. Then the flush handle started sticking. It took all my strength to flush, then it just locked up. So now I need a new one. Otherwise, it was what I needed.

The given 5 Star are taken away, because unit did not last a year. The flush system stopped working, the pump valve got stuck and does not flush anymore. For repair it would be needed to be accessible but is it not.

This is well built and comes in handy. The bottom detaches for easy cleaning and a lot of thought went into designing this to work well. It is a good combination of price and performance.However, it is a bit of a small seat, so certain parts will hang out :-). I bought this as an emergency use while my bathroom was being remodeled. I rather not get a porta-potty structure outside and this was perfect. I will keep it around for camping. Lightweight.

Finally had a chance to use my new portable toilet and was very surprised at how well it worked in our little cabin! Going from a bucket type toilet was like night and day. Used it for three weeks and emptied it once a week, all though it would have lasted longer. Was very easy to set up and use. and was easy enough to empty without a mess. best of all it did not smell up the cabin, so I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to others. One small downside to it is the size of the toilet seat. It is not going to be as big as your home toilet, so if you have a big hind end, the you have to adjust a little to sit on it. Fit and finish was very good and I am glad I made this purchase!!
