Is it possible to essentially half the height of the rail by taking part of the vertical rails out?

Do the length extensors need to be fully extending to be functional or can they be pulled out half way? I want this to go in a 110cm space

The extensions slide out 20cm at each end, and you can pull them out any distance up to the 20cm maximum so they are completely variable .I have bought 2 of these,I think they're very good .

Anyone happen to know the dimensions of the top flat tubing rail - as it’s not round, I’m concerned my coat hangers won’t fit.

The rail is 4cm high by 2cm wide. All my coat hangers which are assorted fit easily. Just remember the height is 5 foot and non adjustable. Very easy to assemble and sturdy. I’m pleased with it. Hope this helps.

Is the height adjust or just the width?
