Fender Tone Master FR-12 1,000-watt 1 x 12-inch Powered Speaker Cabinet - Black

Incredible bang for the buck. I replaced my Line 6 PowerCab 112+ with the FR-12. The PowerCab is a fine piece of gear, but the FR-12 sounds more "amp-like" and is MUCH simpler to use, literally just plug and play. Sounds great out of the box without having to futz around in any menus or on your modeler.

This is intended to be used with a modeler pedal (currently using Boss ME90, but also have a Helix and Stomp). I love the tilt back legs for being able to get my sound up to my ears. and it does have volume and EQ controls on top to adjust the "room sound", but it would have been easier to use the controls while tilted back, if controls were on the front, but haven't needed much EQ other than turning down the bass ( my bass setting on ME-90 is already set loud so it's nice to have an adjustment (tone controls do not unaffect at the XLR out). Amp is pretty light and I hear no hissing as described in other online reviews. I also have the Line 6 Power cab, but never really used it because it was large & heavy and too many controls to setup importing IR's etc.. I also tried to get a decent sound by going straight into the PA, but with speakers mounted up high it sounds bad, I missed the "stage sound". I've used headrush 108's on the floor which are loud, but I now know what is meant by the term "Boxy sound" which is heard from other FRFR speakers and monitors, they're no match to the FR-12 which disperses the amp sound nicely throughout the stage area and I love the tiltback legs for my ears. it is much better to use this for "stage sound" and use its XLR out to FOH. It made a big difference for me, now if I can get my 2nd guitarist to get that would be even better, but the price is reasonable comparatively so maybe I get 2.

I've got 2 now. The first one had the very slight hiss issue, this second one was after they made the fix. Could barely hear the hiss anyway. These are loud as hell and easy to lug around. If anything, I wish it was a little heavier. You hit some notes in the resonant frequency of the cabinet and it may start to move around on you, especially on a hard surface. Need to get some grippy feet for it🤣

I play it with a NeuroDSP QuadCortex and it sounds great!

Bought this to complement to Tonemaster Pro. Flipped my Tonemaster Twin Reverb and couldn’t be happier. Now I have the Twin back, in FR-12 form!

Suena muy bien, he tenido headrush FRFR y JBL pero realmente en este gabinete se logra una sensación muy parecida al amp real si mueve el aire si lo llegas a subir el volumen (lo uso con kemper player y helix floor) estoy muy a gusto con su función aparte de que es muy ligero y practico de mover, sumado a eso lo tenían en un precio 20% mas barato que el costo actual lo malo es que no tenían compra a meses sin intereses
