They're ok, but not the best
Came packaged nicely. The plastic tubes aren't that large but are thick so it seems like they will last a while. These are not retractable like some others, so connecting the two pieces each time is a pain. The metal stake at the bottom bends too easily as the metal isn't that strong. Would be better if it was a metal spike vs. a metal flange shape. You should spend more on higher quality poles if you plan on coaching for a while.

Bends easily
The metal stakes easily bend when inserting into the ground or if the poles are bumped once inserted. The plastic tubes do not fit together consistently with some too loose easily coming apart and some too tight and requiring a lot of force to assemble which stresses the plastic.

Can't Wait For Next Season!
I have two daughters and have now coached both of them in youth soccer. My oldest ages out right about the time my younger was aging in, so I have many seasons under my belt at this point....ahem.....many championship seasons under my belt.....not to brag, but I just did. I've been so fortunate to get great groups year in and year out that actually care about the team, practices, and games. As a coach, you could ask for nothing more. I am really excited to get these training programs into practice next year. There were a number of drills that involve vertical barriers, obstacles to replicate opposing team, traffic, etc. and I haven't been able to integrate them into practice. With these, now I can! I have eight of them and they open a whole new way to teach and practice congestion, finding space, etc. They can also serve as great obstacle course and of course agility poles, which is there advertised purpose. I think these are really going to help the kids latch on to difficult concepts and I can't wait to see them put the skills into action on the pitch!

good for soccer drill
The vibrant color adds visibility to our training sessions, enhancing focus and coordination. The plug-in design makes setup effortless, and the spring feature adds an extra challenge for agility drills. Sturdy construction ensures durability, even during intense practice sessions. Highly recommend for soccer players and coaches

Good product, great for drills
I purchased the almost 5 foot set of 4 agility poles. These work well! Easy to put together, very straightforward. The orange is bright and makes them very visible on the training field. The included metal spike bases are seriously heavy duty and aggressive. Easy to stab into the ground and hold the poles very well. The spring feature of the base also does a good job of having some give so that if players run into it, it will lean and then return to position, but it also won't tilt over nor snap back too quickly. One negative is that unlike poles that have more of a needle-like base that typically include a rubber cover, these bases have no protective cover. As mentioned in other reviews, these poles do not come with a carry bag. If you have a slalom pole carry bag, you'll want to take the bases off and face them away from any cloth material so as not to poke holes. The other solution is to purchase a bag with a hard plastic bottom or create a hard plastic insert yourself.Overall, great for coaches and athletes who are looking to add to their equipment and vary up their drills.

Solid agility poles for the price
These poles are great for soccer training. Each pole comes in two plastic pieces with a plastic male-male connector piece to unite the two halves. And they have a nice metal spring base with a metal spike.PROS: Easy assembly.... just use a little bit of force to snap the pole halves together using the connector piece and to slip the base into the metal spike. No tools required. Bright colors add to visibility. Durable but lightweight. Heavy-duty spring in the base holds the pole up firmly but has all the needed give to protect the pole when it is bumped by a player or ball. Small footplate on the spike that is VERY useful for driving the pole into the ground. Great height to force players into the desired path for training—they can't clip the pole or cut over top of them.CONS: The spike is a flat piece of metal. These tend to bend when inserted into firm ground, as opposed to poles with round, cylindrical spikes. They are easy enough to straighten back out, but I do prefer the cylindrical spikes since we train on a pretty firm pitch. Only other complaint would be portability. I guess the poles could be disassembled for storage and transportation, but it's not easy to do that and I'd be concerned that the connectors would get damaged if I did that every time I used them. So you're stuck moving very large poles without bundling ties or a bag for transportation. I've used poles that have halves that screw into each other that are much easier to disassemble for transport and storage.

Solid addition to Coach's kit
TL;DR: Go for it! The kids and dog loves running between these. We were also able to use them for soccer drills. Lightweight, quick to set up, and survived the initial little kid destructuctive play. Parent approved for safety and energy expenditure. These poles are robust and versatile, and while a little expensive (compared to cones) they are much more versatile and intuitive for players.Pros- Heavy grade PVC pipes with large enough diameter to last but small enough to be lightweight- Spring hardware isnif anything overkill. Very nice quality of metal. Spring is right stiffness, bends when lightly pushed, still stands up on its own, and the rebound isn't so quick and strong that you get smacked. Spike easily goes into clay field.- Can technically assemble at two heights.Downsides (Not really con just worth knowing).- No storage bag- When you twist the pipe into the spring a little plastic is shaved off. No big deal but over time might contribute to wear- Sometimes takes a little fiddling to find how far to screw in. Too far and it doesn't bend enough, not enough and it's floppy. Should be light weight enough to deploy in sandy or soggy fields but might not stand up to bumps well.
