Not real copal..not pure anyway
Updste: Ive added photos. The smaller puece on the left is real copal bought from a local source. The picture on the right is copal from this company. You can see the larger right piece is very see through and clear where the real copal is cloudy and crystally. Its really not cool to be burning unknown substances which are clearly in the copal I purchased from here. This is not real copal. There is a plastic smell behind it. I read someone else say that in another review. Its disappointing because real copal is medicinal and this is giving me a headache. Almost bought the pound but it was going to take too long to ship...glad I got the smaller package because I wont be burning this anymore.

It is the worst copal I've ever bought, imagine you are burning gunpownder. It smells horrible!!! Don't buy it.

Solvent smells
The price is great but this doesn't smell like my usual copal. When you first put it on the coal it has almost a solvent kind of chemical smell to it. As it cools down and puts off less smoke it smells more like it should. I'm concerned about the contents of this resin

This item burns the eyes and the smell doesn’t match what copal resin usually… very different. Unpleasant.

This is the worst copal I have used. It ruined my dish that I have burned copal in for years, used for my day of the dead altar. I do not recommend.

It is toxic! It never should be sold! Or bought!
It is terrible copal!!! It is toxic! My eyes started to burn and tears started to run out my eyes when I set it on fire! I had to take the burner outside of apartment to stop the torture! It is terrible!!!
