Decent Choice
Slightly wider and slightly lighter than the SLK paddle I started with. Both have comfortable handles and work well.

Impressive.
I've been playing for a couple years now and while not an advanced player I'm not still a rank beginner either. I started with a set of no name paddles and wanted something "better" eventually. I got the Selkirk SLK Latitude 2.0 and could immediately feel the difference. Like most players I thought, well if this paddle was such a big improvement then surely a more expensive paddle will be an even bigger improvement. That couldn't be further from the truth. I have another considerably more expensive Selkirk paddle (Vanguard Control S2) that feels dead compared to the Latitude. I also have another very popular paddle, an Onix Z5 Mod, that seems overly hard, with lots of "pop' for lack of a better word, and is difficult to place softer shots with and is less forgiving on off center hits. I've also played with a Six Zero Infinity Black Diamond that had a very small sweet spot for a top of the line paddle. I also played with a Six Zero Double Black Diamond Control which felt better than the Infinity but still didn't feel as good to me as the SLK Latitude. I know that the Latitude 2.0 is considered a lower end beginner's paddle but for me it is not too lively, not too mushy, but is the Goldilocks of paddles...just right, and the price is right too! I should probably buy a few of them before they quit making them.

Great as a beginner paddle
Perfect for my beginner son. Of course he’s a teenager and hits very hard. Great paddle but after daily intense use the inside part seemed to have worn out. Not sure how else to describe that but he said it feels and sounds different now. Paid $39 which was great for a quality brand.

next-step-up beginner paddle
A good medium-quality medium-power paddle, for beginners. I've hit the ground a couple of times and it survived with some scratches along the edge. Seems like it has a large sweet spot, IMHO, which helps with control. Costs a quarter of what a good paddle would cost, so it is a good deal.

Great performance for great price!!!
I’m an intermediate to advanced player, but did not want to spend a ton of money on my next paddle. Selkirk is one of the best brands so I thought I’d try this inexpensive paddle and just keep it for my family members to use whenever they play with me if I didn’t like it, but have been very impressed by its performance. It’s the perfect weight for me, the perfect sized grip, and of course I love the color! It has improved my game and hits accurately every time. Highly recommend!

Good Starter Paddle for the price
Picked this paddle up on a prime deal, worked perfectly fine for a starter paddle. No complaints, you'll end up wanting to upgrade it once you get better at pickleball, but that's not a knock this one for a beginner. I'd recommend it for someone starting out.

For beginners
Good for beginners. Too wide for advanced players

Great for beginners.
Very happy with my paddle, I’m an absolute novice so this paddle is great - it doesn’t have a seriously centralised sweet spot, so it’s rather forgiving. Also, it’s grip isn’t so big and it’s not square, so I like it’s grip very much.

Good quality begginers pickleball paddle, now at at a bargain price
February 2025: Very good choice for my first paddle, I will need to upgrade to a better (read more expensive) paddle before long, but got now it does the job admirably. January 2026: as predicted, I upgraded to a much better paddle in the Black Friday sales, however this paddle I gave away and that person loves it and had bought 3 more for her friend's as it is even better value at £34... £20 less than I paid originally... A bargain by any measure.
