Best marzipan that I have ever had. This is my fifth time ordering.
I most liked the taste, this is my fifth time for ordering this product. In between, I always try other marzipan and am always disappointed because it just doesn't taste the way this marzipan does. From the first bite to the end of the loaf it is a wonderful oral sensation. It is so smooth, not too sweet, just right. Buying this product is the best decision you can make if you are looking for the very best marzipan because you have found it here.

Grandma loved the Marzipan. I am not a big fan of Marzipan, but this was a great product.

Good, but with a slight aftertaste.
If you like the slight aftertaste and subtle sweetness of an old fashioned marzipan, then this is for you. I'm not a fan of that aftertaste.

Very small size for the price
This is a VERY SMALL marzipan bar. It's 4.4 oz, which is slightly smaller than a regular American candy bar. It's 10x the price of an American candy bar. You're supposed to eat it as a handy snack but I am sure Germans aren't paying this price for their snack. Niederegger is a famous brand in Germany. They've got their own cafe and everything. However, this marzipan tastes just ok. It was moist and tasted of almonds, but note the ingredients list -- it's got more than the standard 3 ingredients of marzipan (almonds, sugar, some kind of binder like rosewater or egg white). It even says may contain traces of other nuts. After this experience, I am going to just have to make my own marzipan from now on -- cheaper and purer.

THIS IS NOT GOOD TASTING MARZIPAN
I ordered 4 loaves. Bad choice! THIS IS NOT GOOD MARZIPAN!! I grew up with Marzipan in Germany and never had any that was mixed with so many other nut flavors, which were apparent with the first taste.. How disappointing!! Other brands like Schluckwerder or Herman the German are much better choices.

Love Marzipan
I spent a summer in Lubeck so I got hooked on marzipan from the Niederegger. This loaf brought back great memories but I probably won’t order again since it is quite expensive for the size.
