Getting better range and performance out of my radios. Quality is good.

Keep looking - these things are DEAF.
Bought a bag of these to replace our battle-worn antennas on our TK-5220 handhelds at PD. The build quality and appearance seemed to be identical to the OEM antennas and officers were thrilled to ditch their old ones held together with electrical tape. Out in the field, EVERY officer which received one of these antennas had a lot of difficulty hitting the repeater, while another officer standing 3 feet away using an original OEM antenna was coming across the radio literally crystal clear. I put one of these on my radio (which has a good OEM antenna) and on the same channel standing in the exact same spot I was unreadable (loud and clear with OEM). Looking elsewhere for replacements for these door stops before one of my officers gets hurt due to being unable to communicate.
