The leather strap is wide and comfortable. It is so easy to put on, and the auto-locking feature is terrific. That’s the way all guitar straps should go on. I highly recommend thisNote: This strap is not for acoustic-electric guitars. Hopefully, they’ll make a variant for an acoustic-electric with the quarter-inch jack in the middle of the mounting pin, making it larger. Until then, this remains the very best strap for acoustic or electric guitars.

The leather is soft and comfortable and the locks hold the guitar without having to make modifications to your guitar. The strap goes on and comes off easy.

This strap is just what I wanted EXCEPT it won't work on the guitar I bought it for. The button auto-locking mechanism is ingenious, but if the guitar has its forward (neck) button on the back of the guitar, the connected strap will be twisted. I have an old Gibson ES-355, its heavy, and the forward button is on the back of the guitar at the neck/body intersection. In order to make this strap work for this guitar (and also my Taylor acoustic) I am taking the strap to a shoe repair store to have the lock fitting turned around so that it will work as it should on my guitar. It would be nice if the [Amazon] product page would provide some notation that this strap will not work on some guitars, or, even better, make two types of straps.

This strap is comfortable. I was a little surprised that the leather was so thin, but after using it a few times I think it’s pretty good.

This is a good, heavy duty but lightweight guitar strap. It attaches securely to both ends, with Daddairio's excellent straplock system, and is very comfortable with all my guitars, even the heavier jumbo and dreadnoughts. It is easy to use, rolls up nicely to stow in my guitar case, and does everything I need it to!

I have Schaller strap locks on most of my guitars, and while they work well, it can be stressful changing the strap screws to accommodate the specialized strap lock buttons. This D'Addario auto lock strap doesn't require changing out the buttons, so I was very interested to check it out.Trying it out, the auto lock is easy and quick to attach/remove from a guitar button. The guitar feels pretty secure with these locks, so I love the idea of this.While I like the idea and execution of the locking feature, I think the build materials are disappointing for the price of this strap. The strap feels thin and cheap. It does have a leather top and, as per the product details, the bottom is supposed to be suede but instead looks like it's a fake leather material. A suede bottom would help keep the strap from sliding on the shoulder and I was expecting this strap to have it. The fake leather bottom is glossy/slick and will not function the same as suede.There is also a functional issue with certain guitars. Product details state that the strap was "designed in partnership with Ned Steinberger". In a bit of irony, this guitar strap won't work with my Steinberger Spirit guitar! The Spirit has the strap button located on the back of the guitar and there's no way to flip the auto lock around on the D'Addario strap. You can't use the strap with the guitar without having it twisted around in an odd way.I had also ordered the 2.5" wide version of this leather strap but was unimpressed enough with this 3" one that I cancelled the other order. I'll stick with the Schaller strap locks.
