Kittens don't mind it.

I have 2 small kittens. Both of them didn't mind it after I cut off the bell. Looks adorable, works well as a normal collar. If you intent to use this for kittens, make sure to clip the collar loop to the color, otherwise they might get their paws stuck in it.
