The lens was not even attached to the light, threw it away wasn't worth the super glue to fix it. The Manufacturer in China contacted me and explained that the ring is threaded with fine threads that can come loose in shipment, I fish it out of the trash, and it did thread back on but it became part of a larger issue where I bought 20 more. This supplier Goodia did everything in their power to make the orders right and the first one was not there order but their product. The asked if I could pay the shipping if they replaced all 20 units, I agreed and then sent me their PayPal account, it was bizarre watching $15 American convert to Chinese Icons for pay. This woman Jane, did everything to correct a bad situation. The new design were slightly shorter like a real halogen MR16 the light seem brighter and whiter than the older units. The two units I replaced in a string of 15 overall look great still working after the first week, where the old design would have had least one fail. I think they have found the bad component's and fixed the engineering issue. I was going to dispose of the old 20 units. I ask Jane to find out what the issue was so maybe I can repurpose these instead of filling the landfill. She responded even with her day off and I am waiting till she returns to work so she can check with the engineers.I was right about initial quality, but these people want to be a five star provider with Amazon and will do whatever it takes to make it right.Doug in Scottsdale AZ

I really like LED technology in general (see my other review on Kichler outdoor lights) and would love to replace all of my landscaping / tree uprights with these, but they're just a bit too blue for my tastes (7000 Kelvin). The halogens I use for uplighting are closer to 3000K, and produce a very nice orange-yellow light in the trees. I'm uplighting a single tree with one of these and, by contrast, it looks more than a bit industrial. To be fair, the product description says "7000K cool" right up front, so I knew what I was getting, I'm just not sure which scenarios it would be appropriate for (perhaps uplighting geological features, large amethyst crystals or such)? I'll give it 4 stars for being efficient, bright, and performing as advertised, I just won't uplight another tree with one of these!

Bought these (5) to replace 20 watts outdoor lights in my yard to light the side of my house which is very dark. These are slightly longer and just fit in the landscape lights but produce WAY more light than the regulat halogene 20W that they replace. These are actually almost too bright,, i am goimg to have to remove one of them and place it elsewhere. Actually i will probably buy more for the rest of the house...Definitely a good spending, tehy seem of very good quality too!- Update-These have been working very well, so well in fact that I ended buying an additional 10 and 10 Malibu lights to light the rest of the house at night, all this for the equivalent of a single light bulb for 15 times the equivalent of 50W around the house.Still working very well, no problem so far. The only thing is that I had to cut a piece of the casting of the malibu lights to be able to fit these bulbs as they are longer than the normal MR16, by about a third of an inch. took me a little time to grind out the aluminum, but all said it's great!

These bulbs looked promising to use with my trade show banner lights. I was first disappointed when i opened it up saw they were larger than the standard halogen bulbs. Circumference was just about the same but overall was bulkier and longer. Fit ok into fixture but the vent holes on the side of the fixture no longer lined up with the bulbs.I lit them up and left them running for about 30 mins. I came back into the room to see 2 of the 3 bulbs i purchased barely hanging from the fixture. THE PINS SLIPPED OUT OF THE BASE and were about to fall out. So I reached up to pull it out before it did and the bulb felt very, very warm. Not hot like a halogen (can't even touch those after a few minutes) but still uncomfortable –especially for LED bulbs.Over all they give give a good amount of light, but at a very focused beam angle. I purchased other LED bulbs also available here on amazon that were the same size as the original and had no heat problems. Look elsewhere.

Purchased 4 of these and am currently using 3 in landscape lighting. Been using them for over a month now and am very happy with them. I live in the AZ desert and they haven't been subjected to AZ summer heat yet or near freezing winter temps. If you plan to use these in landscape lighting be aware they are just a little taller that standard MR16 halogen bulbs so depending on the brand/model of light fixture you use they might not fit in the fixture or it might be a tight fit putting the fixture lens/cover back on. Also, the light they project is "cooler" (i.e whiter) than the standard halogen lights I was using and that might take some getting used to. The beam spread of these bulbs (60 degrees) is wider than the spread of the standard halogen MR16 bulbs I've seen at the major big box home improvement stores.

I bought 5 of these lights for the kitchen. Within 12 hours 2 were not functioning anymore, and a third one has a 60 Htz strobe flash that gets annoying after a while. I wrote the company about the 2 that went out and they said they would replace them. It took over month to get the ones I ordered, we'll have to see if/when the replacements show up. The two that work, work well for the price I guess. These lights are $16 a piece at the store so I guess 2 1/2 for $16 is what I have.

Bought 4. Only use during christmas season (about 1 month/year). 3 still working, one is dead. Considering the very limited usage, I'm shocked 25% have died with less than 6 months actual usage.Bulbs are very bright, much brighter than the halogen they replaced and they are a very cool white. 6K and up for sure.

Nice & bright. Just bought the 1 lamp - only one of these in the house :-)Slightly longer than halogen it replaced (sticks out of fitting slightly), a small price to pay for power savings.Like other MR16s I've read about, there is an occasional flicker (and I mean occasional), but I understand this is more to do with the existing 12V transformer powering it (240V LED GU10s I have elsewhere don't seem to have this problem as they are mains powered). Only time will tell re: longevity, been in a couple of weeks and it's fine, very happy with the purchase so far.

It took over a month to get here. I have installed and just waiting to see if it is suitable replacement for a standard MR16. If so it should save me ££££ in the long run.

these lamps are a complete failure, they don't operate correctly and flicker all the time, the supplier is based in CHINA and avoid addressing the complaint in a professional manner, suggesting to use different transformers (which are not required) and even suggesting using one halogen lamp which Im sure you will see is counter productive to save on energy. 'be warned'
