Nice puzzle, challenging enough to keep interested. Small enough to build after dinner and complete. The pieces were well made and this was just fun

I didn't get it at first sight. Upon opening the box, I saw the tiny pieces and thought that made the puzzle really hard. Wrong! Yes, the pieces are small but the unique, finely cut patterns and the glorious, brilliant color patterns make the puzzle easy and extremely enjoyable to do. The pieces are very thick and sturdy. Would make a great gift. Highly recommended.

I've always enjoyed the occasional puzzle, but COVID 19 really upped my puzzle participation. I usually do 750-1000 piece puzzles but I was gifted the Hartmaze Colorful Wwl in December and actually pulled it out to do a second time (which I never do) because in addition to how lovely it is, the "feel" of it is so satisfying. The way these thick, wooden pieces fit together is fantastic. I usually pass on puzzles to others, but I will definitely be keeping this one for another round down the line. I liked it so much that I ordered another wooden puzzle (from a different company) and I must say, it was not the same as Hartmaze AT ALL. The pieces didn't really click together, it was hard to keep it in formation. I highly recommend Hartmaze wooden puzzles.

The pieces were colorful but very small and very random cut. It was fun to assemble, but the die transfers to your fingers and you leave black smudges unless you wash right away.

Neat little puzzle! Bear in mind that this puzzle is relatively small. With that said, the unconventional shape still offers a fair challenge - but experienced puzzle afficionados will likely finish it somewhat quickly. The colors are bright and vibrant, pieces are thick, and the cuts are smooth. Don't expect the same refinement you might find in some of the 'big names' in wooden jigsaw puzzles, but it is a nice puzzle nonetheless. Given the low price and relatively small size, this puzzle would be a great candidate to pick up for a fun puzzle one evening while having a few drinks and watching your favorite Hallmark Christmas movies. Finish up and pass it on to a friend.

This puzzle is everything I hoped for a more. The picture on the website doesn't do it justice. Colors are bright. The sample is really small. I printed a copy of the puzzle from the Amazon website and that made it easier to work with. This puzzle is not easy, but the reward is well worth the effort. I really liked the puzzle. But all things considered, I don't think I would buy another puzzle of this type. The wooden pieces are not easy to work with. The puzzle is very loose while working on it as well as when it is completed. But once you have the pieces together, they don't want to come apart and that's bad news if you make a mistake.

Unique, beautiful finished piece. Love the shapes of the pieces are all different and makes it more challenging than traditional pieces. I worked this with my 10 year old daughter and took us a few sessions after dinner each night to finish. She wants to get glue and keep it because it looks so nice at the end. I had all the pieces and the quality is great. I plan to look for more animals and birds to order in these puzzles.

So far I’ve bought a couple puzzles from each company here on Amazon. This is one of two from Hartmaze. This review is for the owl puzzle. I thought this looked like a good value compared to Artifact because of the finished appearance and that it’s made from unique wooden pieces, but just to get right to the point of my 3-star rating; assembly is a little awkward because many of the pieces don’t interlock in any way. They simply slide together... so when you’re assembling it and need to move what you have together so far, it also slides apart. Sometimes (with any puzzle) I’ll spot two pieces that fit each other while looking for a completely different piece. This is one of the times you’ll notice that putting pieces together doesn’t mean they’ll stay together. Other than that, it’s a nice quality puzzle and roughly half the price of Artifact. The reviews that mention missing pieces? If we finish this and it also has missing pieces I’ll drop a star. That’s pretty crazy for a puzzle to have missing pieces... I’d be upset with the time I spent looking for pieces that weren’t possible to find. Hopefully we get this together and Mom feels it was enjoyable. If she raves about it I’ll raise my rating, but as for myself, I found the sliding apart to be increasingly frustrating as finished sections grew. I give this 4-stars on value, but 3-stars overall. IMO every piece of a puzzle should interlock at least a little bit... or at the least several major parts of the picture should, so you can move them on a smooth table without it all separating. Mom is using a piece of paper to move sections and keep them together. At this price I find that barely acceptable. If one of the Artifact puzzles is like that (at roughly twice the price) I’d send it back.
