It works but you need to guess instructions
Always wanted to have Bird eye in my cars, so when found this for almost $100 dollars ($130 actually) I decided to give a try. I have installed back camera, ultrasound sensors front and rear in the past so I know the "how" to install and route cables in my car, but still spent all weekend on it. Instructions are not clear enough so I have to guess and try and error, and that is wasted time. For example, when everything connected the screen was black, so I was not sure if I made a mistake on the already soldered connections, so I tested with an old camera with RCA and my connection worked. I noticed the remote control had an "on" button, so pushed and got image from the device.. (wasted time because lack of clear instructions). Other wasted time was orientation for left and right camera, had issues trying to calibrate and splice, until figured out the cameras needed to point as far as possible from the body of the car, and the landscape orientation of camera has to be along the length of the car, or pointing perpendicular to the body of the car. Calibration is still not perfect but it is highly recommended to get a calibration mat which is not included, and it is difficult to find on Amazon. They should include it, I did my calibration just with 4 foam squares. Also make sure to get a USB memory stick, as you will need it to save the recordings, unfortunately the device is not indicating if a usb2.0 or usb3.+ Is supported. I hope it lasts, so will report if start failing after some time.
