Review: Includes map - Good travel guide includes map of Athens Review: Soooo disappointing - Frommers used to give great recommendations for accommodation, restaurants, shopping etc. Now there is just a little paragraph for topics, no information to send you to anywhere with quality and pricing. I've done much better surfing the internet for ideas about what to do in Greece, how to telephone, etc. Something went wrong

Greek Island Glow
Has a little bit of everything in it for the major tourist destinations. Hotels, restaurants, history, places to visit. Although they only list maybe 3 different hotels/restaurants at different price points, there are hundreds in an area to choose from besides those 3. If you're just looking to build your vacation, this is not for that. Go online and read reviews to plan your itinerary. This is more like a great book to read either in the pre-pre planning stages of your trip to get ideas or while you're there to get ideas in the moment. Either you're the type A person who buys this book, gets some ideas, and then micromanages and books everything before you go. Or you're the type B person who just goes to Greece, wanders around and reads this book in the hotel room to get some ideas on where to go next and the history of the area. Its great it comes with a map, totally unnecessary with google maps but great just in case. Would like it to be more comprehensive with more of the greek islands. There are a number of them, but Greece is expanding so rapidly for tourism that there are a lot of gems that aren't included. Maybe more practical tips as well, like being prepared for rough/slick terrain. And don't take the donkeys on Santorini!!
