It's really too bad that this movie came out the same summer as Goodfellas (1990). If it hadn't, Richard Gere surely would have won an Oscar for his performance. This movie has a complex and nuanced story telling that is gripping from start to finish! If you have never seen this greatly underappreciated classic thriller, it is a must see!

Richard Gere is a far more versatile actor than I ever realized. He plays a bad-ass sociopath in this film. I'm surprised he hasn't been nominated for more awards overall.

This movie in my opinion is a classic and wel made thriller about crooked cops. Richard Gere is great playing the villain cop in this movie who thinks that he was above the law. In the end, he met his match. Andy Garcia was also great in this movie. I liked it and it is a keeper from my home theater collection especially now re-mastered in Blu-ray and priced reasonably.

Still a great film after all these years. It's aged really well and still packs a punch. Richard Gear is perfect as a slime ball bent cop, with his fingers, literally in all sorts of pies. A fantastic 90's thriller that looks stunning on Blu-ray.

Diese DVD bietet normaler Weise Spannung, gute schauspielerische Leistung und eine interessante Hadlung. Aber die Qualität der gelieferten DVD entspricht noch nicht einmal einem Mindeststandard - auch ältere Filme aus den 50er oder gar 40er Jahren sind weitaus besser. Die Tonqualität ist kaum zu ertragen, das Bildmaterial weist völlige Unschärfen auf und wackelt. Da in der damaligen Zeit selten Handkameras verwendet wurden und wir den Film in viel besserer Qualität kennen, ist man über die nicht erklärbare Verschlechterung sprachlos. Haben die DVD zurückgegeben. Für das Angebot vergeben wir (k)einen Stern! Wir hoffen, dass "Internal Affairs" eines Tages in der gewohnten Klasse zu bekommen ist.

A great role for Andy Garcia, I enjoy seeing Richard Gere in a bad guy role. Has action, suspense and intrigue.
