Outsunny 6' x 8' Polycarbonate Greenhouse with Rain Gutter, Gray

It's a very nice greenhouse when you get it all together. Now that being said be prepared It's going to take you a day, depending on your skill level possibly two. This is best put together with two people. I was missing a part and contacted the seller and the seller quickly shipped the missing part out to me. The seller was very responsive. No I took clear silicone and siliconed the panels outside and inside, so that they don't blow out. I also screwde the panels in place, pree drilling the holes and then using the provided screws to screw them in. Please don't have somebody hold on the other side while screwing the panels in place it goes a lot better. I will update with the photo soon

I’m a custom cabinet maker for 30 years, I have every tool on earth and am a master at putting anything together. That said, this piece of crap was an absolute nightmare!! 8 full hours of assembly time!! Holes didn’t line up. Directions were written out of order so what was struggled with in any given step needed to be un done to allow something to happen five steps later. I drilled many additional holes and used a hundred self tapping screws to make this work. Of course one would not. know the trouble ahead until you are a third of the way through and the item is then un returnable. It ruined my weekend, cost me $800 for my eight hours- I bill out at $100/ hr. I PITY “ harry homeowner” white collar guy if he buys this awful piece of crap!

This is a good greenhouse for this price point Although it says heavy duty, it seemed a little shaky putting together. Once you get it all together, its much better. Unless you live in an area with NO wind, you need to anchor it. We used 4x4 with extra anchors at each corner. We are still in the process of caulking to make it even better. That is a time consuming task! The polycarbonate panels are thin, I was surprised, as I thought they would be sturdier, so I don't know how this will hold up with snow next winter. I have a feeling I'm going to be scooping snow off the greenhouse every time it snows. The window panels are very loose, they kind of slide back and forth about 1/4 inch, and we don't know if this was supposed to happen or not. Putting it together...nothing like a picture book instruction manual to get the blood flowing! Some of the pictures are very tiny and required a magnifying glass to see the angles and how the ends went together. So their instructions could definitely be much better. Listen and follow the instructions! Don't tighten everything, you'll just end up loosening and retightening those screws later after adding more sections connecting those screws that show up later in the instructions! Also, there is protective covering on each side of the panels. One is white and one is clear. Something we missed...the white side cover on the panels needs to be facing out on the greenhouse. We just peeled and put them up and now have no idea what side was what. One side has the protective UV covering... But that being said, if you take your time and work together, read ahead a bit in the "instruction book" and get an idea of what is what, but don't skip any steps! Once it started coming together it was wobbly, and Im glad I read the reviews so I was prepared for this. But we did keep saying, this can't be right it's too wobbly. Panels in make it much sturdier and by the time the roof goes on, you'll be thinking, now it's getting better. There are gaps, especially in the door and the windows, we will have to get some weather stripping or something where it cannot be caulked. it took us almost 2 days working about 6hrs each day. It's a good size, (10x6), perfect for what I needed. It was about 95 degrees in there yesterday with our outside temp at 69, so it does get hot quickly, but it wasn't really retaining the heat by the time it was getting chilly outside, maybe that will change once we finish caulking. I had the windows open and a fan running to keep the air circulating. Can't wait to be able to keep my plants in there when its warm enough at night! The seller is very easy to work with! They even answer the phone when you call! The greenhouse comes in 3 boxes and FEDEX lost one. Aesom was very quick about getting a replacement sent out, but then FEDEX pulled their heads out and we received the box. Aesom has sent messages to make sure everything is here and for that they get 5 stars!!

Packaging (B+): Came in 2 boxes; one for the frame, one for the plastic panes. Zero damage to the panes (great packing). Very minor bending here and there to a handful of the dozens of frame pieces (corners and such), but they are aluminum, so easily bent back. Assembly (B-not easy, not hard): I was able to assemble this 99% by myself over several hours, although the estimate in the manual contemplates 2-3 people. I had to puzzle out some of the instructions, but overall they were pretty good. Caveat: I am really good at assembling things. If you are not, you should expect to need help from someone who is. There are A LOT of parts. Quality (A+ for value): Machining was excellent. Frame is sturdy. I want to say upfront that for the price this is a tremendous value. That said, I would not expect panels to survive a harsh winter in the Northeast U.S. (they are fairly flimsy), and will take precautions. I will either cut outdoor plywood to cover it or will put it inside a tent storage unit I have. It is easily picked up an moved by two people. Incidentally, because it is so light, I am going to anchor it to a 24" steel spike driven into the ground at each corner, just to be safe. The spikes are available from a big box home center in the concrete rebar section and only cost around $10 for 4. Just one more note on value: I may replace all the panels with Lucite in a couple of years. I think this will cost about as much as the unit did originally, but in my opinion the frame is of high enough quality that even if this causes the cost all-in to double, this is still a great value. Customer service (A+++): A small bag of 6 screws was missing from my unit. I contacted customer service and they responded promptly. Then, they went above and beyond the call of duty to resolve the problem.

Received it a couple days early. It came well packed in two boxes. Be prepared because going thru the numerous parts will be daunting. Lots of lengths of nicely anodized extruded aluminum lengths. Many with the same shape but different lengths. Some parts didn't have their part numbers on them so that had to be determined. The vinyl windows are pretty nice, with UV protection. Lots and lots of fasteners, even extras if you lose a few which is nice. As mentioned by others, the instructions are only pictures - no words or explanations and worse of all, no dimensions. Although much of it can be assembled by one person, there are some steps that require two. And a 2nd set of eyes will help in understanding the instructions. If you plan on doing this with a spouse, best to first line up a good divorce attorney. The directions omit what I think is critical, and that's making sure the assembled base is perfectly square by measuring diagonally. We were off 1½" and didn't realize it and saw the impact when installing the clear panels. And until it's all assembled, it's basically a house of cards. Don't even attempt assembly with even a breeze over 5 mph. I added a few more braces to add some much-needed structural integrity - on the walls and especially on the door. It has no cross brace so it's a bit wonky. We used a drill motor with a socket which made things easier. It's all assembled with short bolts using 10mm open end or socket. Some have said to leave the fasteners loose - I found it better to tighten things as you go, and loosen those fasteners as needed to add additional parts. Don't expect this to be even remotely air tight. Even caulking around the window panels will still leave a lot of air gaps. I bought a garage door weather strip to help seal around the door. In all honesty, it might have been easier to just build a wood frame and find the "glass" someplace. We'll see how it holds up to a PNW winter and will revise this review accordingly Update: Well we had a 50mph windstorm about 6 weeks ago and 2 "windows" blew out. I was able to get them back in but barely. I'm sure they would have withstood the wind had I been able to caulk everything properly. I did apply some but the below freezing temps, then the rain ruined it. The lesson is do this build in warmer weather.

I once read somewhere that, to truly build a greenhouse, it requires a budget of at least $2k. In this regard, you get what you pay for - the instructions are great until you get to wall cross-supports, then it’s all downhill. Lots of undoing previous work because of missed steps in previous pages. By the end, there’s quite a bit of guess work that went into things. For the roof, the main beams for the rear half don’t actually mount to wall frames; I had to cut a lot of little areas with diagonal cutters, hammer some things, and pry some of the channels way wider. Tons of gaps for the window panels. Many of the frame pieces came with spots that were crushed/bent - they’re easy to fix with a flat head or a hammer and flat area, but, it’s just something to be aware of. 5 of the 7 wall panels required me to cut them down because they were too tall for the frame pieces to actually fit. The screws for the door were really bad. One head of a screw sheered right off as I tightened it down - would definitely recommend replacing the gold screws with some from your local hardware store; they’re really bad. In the end, it looks nice. There are a lot of little plastic trim pieces that come with it that we’re absolutely obliterated after being shipped with a bunch of metal beams. Okay that’s it. I personally dug out a perimeter to set mine down in and it gave me about 5”-6” of extra height to play with, which feels more substantial than I imagined. As a 6’ tall person, the door is for little people, so any bit of extra depth you can give will be a big help. I got stakes to attach to the bottom of the foundational frame and packed dirt hard around the anchoring feet with a tamping tool. TBD on performance in the wind!

This is a great product. Having said that, it is not ready for storms, snow, or winter temps. The instructions were totally clear. The key is to take it slow and double check everything. Inspect the pics and make sure you have it correct so you don't have to redo anything. There are a lot of parts and a ton of bolts and nuts. Good thing is all nuts and bolts are the same size so that makes it super easy. BIGGEST THING ... get a 10mm socket and a drill bit adaptor!!! Set the drill to 9 on the clutch and you are golden . . . doing this assembly by hand will land you in a mental institution. I did this assembly completely on my own and it took 5 hours. In the following couple of days I used some strips of metal (you could use wood - I would recommend the wood slats sold to replace slats in the wire/wood fences) to triple secure the panels to the frame from the inside. I also caulked all the panels in place with clear silicone. The door is a great sliding door, however for the winter it is totally not touching any other sides letting all the cold air in. I ended up modifying it to hinge to the structure and seal it with some weather stripping. I would totally recommend buying this product. However, if you doubt your ability get someone to help, and do not even consider doing this without a drill and 10mm socket. Have fun!

Mine is installed on a front porch with only 2 sides exposed. Shortly after I built it we had a wind of about 30 mph, the greenhouse just blew apart. This company was very helpful and did replace the panel that came up missing. I replaced the back wall support with 1 inch aluminum angle and put eye bolts in it for extra anchor points. This helped ,but after some more wind exposure and shaking, the nuts started loosening and things loosened up and it blew apart again. I tried to fix this with lock tight which worked for awhile but I still have to tighten them. Lock nuts should have been supplied I now have the panels taped on the inside seams and they still fall out and need to be repaired. If this unit was installed out in the open it would not survive. I would not recommend this to anyone, and am sorry I purchased it. I should of just tossed the money in the air ,stay away from this. I have had it over a year and now it is just storage , and will probably be removed and tossed next spring.

Well, after some time taken to assemble, disassemble as the instructions don’t cover construction at later stages I got it done. Took me a full day but overall impressed with it, once secured firmly it is a solid greenhouse. Only one issue is the window stay, had to manufacture a bracket to hold it up when the window was closed. Apart from that all good. Instruction booklet is hidden in the middle of the polycarbonate sheets, you will need it to assemble the greenhouse.

The greenhouse went finally built looks amazing and I’m very pleased with it. The instructions are terrible the amount of times I had to take Parts off and reattach a different way because I couldn’t make out the instructions properly. It reminded me of when I was a child and I had a Mecano set. Don’t expect to put it up quickly as it took me the best part of two days although I was on my own.

We bought this over the summer to protect sprouts from all the wild life in the area. It works great, and even hold up in the winter months. I like the top window that opens to allow in and the amount of space. (we were able to add in a shelving unit and a small camping chair and side table. (good little smoking shake in the winter) ) My old gripe with it is the door is a little flimsy, and we have to add a little bit entra support to bolt it down so reduce air flow at the bottom. Other than that, it works great.

Very disappointed with this green house. Its extremely flimsy. There is a gap when the door is closed. The window does not have a catch to close it properly. The instruction were very poor and thus it took to men a lot longer than 5 hours to put up which involved extra costs. I regret this purchase.

Very nice greenhouse Easy for 2 people to put together. Looks great. Great price and Good value.
