We remodeled part of our kitchen and added a second sink and needed a drain with strainer. The brushed chrome matched perfectly with our faucet and other fixtures in the kitchen and the overall quality of this is very high. You will need a bit of plumbers putty when installing that will go between the drain top and the bottom of the sink, but otherwise everything is included to connect to your p-trap. The tail piece is a good heavy gauge (17) stainless steel, which isn't the cheap thin tail pieces you find at the big box stores, and is the main reason I purchased this at the more than triple cost of other drains. We don't use this sink often, but we wanted one with a strainer as there is no intention to install a garbage disposal on this sink, and so far the strainer has worked well to keep food out of the drain, and keep water filled in the sink. As other reviewers have pointed out to keep an eye on the washer, I will as well, but if mine fails, it will probably be from a lack of use and drying out. There is a small etched "Kohler" on the bezel as you can faintly see in the photos. Make sure the placement of this is towards the top of the sink for a finished look. The mounting to the sink is first with a screw on ring and then second with a pressure plate that uses three screws to apply pressure and seal the drain to the sink with the rubber washer along the bottom. From the beginning, zero leaks and it creates a tight seal.

Shipping was extremely fast and we were very pleased with the quality of this heavy duty strainer. It matched perfectly to out Kohler stainless steel sink. We ordered the brushed chrome because the stainless steel one was a little too high in price (we needed to buy two strainers) but the colour match is terrific anyway. Great product!

Build a new house and two years later one of the strainers fell apart. Looked for the best option and this was it! They probably weigh 5 or more times the weight of the cheap big box store brands. They appear to be solid brass which has been coated, compared to the white metal big box store type. Update May 2018: Strainer still holding up but the finish is now coming off. The stainless brushed is coming off and exposing the brass underneath. Wish it would have worn better as it was a nice looking part when new.
