Nice and slick!
Works great, nice slick shave. I wet shave with a brush and a vintage Gillette safety razor and typically use a shave soap. This stuff doesn't really foam up like I thought it would... it's more like a shave lotion. Brush works OK but it's not really made for that. Anyway, compared to the Badger shave soap I've been using this stuff is more slick and yields a nice close shave. Mild fragrance, clean ingredients, solid brand.

The only shave cream you'll need
This shaving cream has been amazing, it smells great (like pine/coconut) and provides great protection when shaving. Disclaimer: I've spent some time playing with the water-cream ratio in a mixing bowl and this shaving cream never seems to get as "fluffy" as other brands but I assume it's due to the chemicals other brands use. The cream still works perfectly but it doesn't seem to get as fluffy for me, which honestly allows for better visibility.

Premium Feel, Average Value
On the upside, it has a pleasant scent and lathers into a thick foam fairly quickly. On the downside, I found that the lather breaks down faster than I'd like. It takes about a quarter-sized amount of cream to build a good lather, and while adding water initially helps create a richer foam, it quickly starts to thin out. By the end of a shave, the lather is almost gone unless you apply more product. As a result, I ended up using significantly more shaving cream per shave than I do with brands like Cremo. I also noticed that it leaves a fairly heavy, oily residue on my skin, making a thorough post-shave rinse necessary. Overall, it's a nice product with a great scent and an enjoyable shaving experience, but I don't think the value is there for everyday use given how much product it requires. I probably won't purchase it again. It's more of an occasional luxury than something I'd keep in my regular rotation.

It Does Just Fine But is Way Too Pricey
It’s hard to get excited by shave creams. There are so many on the market and most all claim a smooth, bump free shave. And this one is no different. That doesn’t mean it’s bad by any stretch, it just doesn’t stand out from the crowd. Instructions state to use a nickel sized dollop of cream to coat your face. That’s not going to work. Maybe a quarter size, but not a nickel. Inflation, I guess. This also defines the word “thick”. You’ll get your daily wrist exercises just trying to get it out of the tube. That isn’t necessarily bad, but lotion this is not. As such, it doesn’t foam more than it coats. As far as shaves go, it is smooth and did allow my double edged razor to go over my face without drag. It also left a minor scent that lingered for about an hour afterwards. Distinctive but subtle and kind of hard to describe. Now for the bad part. The residue clogged both my sink strainer and my double edged razor, the latter to the point I had to disassembly it to remove the goop (and that was after a good bath with hot water). It works and that’s what counts; however, at $30 a tube it’s a bit pricey for what it does.

Great Choice for Clean Ingredients, But Not Yet Tested
I bought this shave cream as a gift, so I haven’t personally used it yet. However, based on my observations, it has a few noteworthy aspects. Packaging: The packaging looks nice and appealing, though it’s made of plastic. The product has received a good EWG rating, which is a significant plus since finding shave creams with clean ingredients can be challenging. This makes it a good value for money considering its emphasis on clean and safe ingredients. I can’t comment on the lather, scent, or overall shaving experience as I haven’t used it myself, but the clean ingredient list is definitely a positive feature.

More of a shave lotion
If you're into wet shaving with a brush, this is definitely not for you! It would be better characterized as a “shave lotion”. So I tried using this stuff a second time, and have to say it’s even worse than after the first time. When you get done applying it to your face, your hand is completely covered with, like half the product you put on your hand in the first place. Once you start to shave it probably took 3-5 strokes, with the razor, for the razor to completely clog up and basically become unusable. Fortunately, I use the best single blade safety razor, I know of, so every few strokes I could remove the blade to get the used product out of my razor and off the blade. You’d be out of luck with one of those multi blade razors. The only use case I can see for this product is with an old school straight razor, but if you can’t use a good shaving brush with it, what’s the point of that! Bottom line a hard no! It wouldn’t be worth it at 1/4 the price!
