Excellent Flashlight, pushing the boundaries of EDC
The Brinyte PT16 is a large flashlight: the battery (21700) is large, the reflector is large, the throw is large, the lumens are large. This all adds up to a great flashlight, though depending on your tolerance, may be getting up to the limit of what you would be willing to keep in your pocket. The packaging is fine, nothing to write home about in my opinion, though the PT16 comes with some great, usable additions. The belt holster is constructed robustly, and I would have no qualms about putting this light in it and expecting it to stay put. Stitching is good, the nylon is thick and holds its shape, which makes putting the flashlight back in a one-handed affair. It comes with a charging cable (USB-C) which is a bit of a departure from the magnetic chargers found on their other lights. While I miss the ease of “snapping” the magnet on to charge, USB-C is so ubiquitous that I don’t really mind. The rubber flap that covers the charging port is a bit loose, and I did find that it would be “open” when I would pull it out of my pocket, but I read online that the port itself is water-resistant, so it won’t fry the light if there is water in the port. The light itself is well constructed. Moderate knurling on the body is enough to get a positive grip without being too aggressive that it will shred your pocket or hands. The crenellations on the head are tall, but rounded and smooth, so I wouldn’t be concerned about flying with this light. Pocket clip is unremarkable: it does its job, never bent or got loose during my testing. The tailswitch UI is quite good in my opinion, with a “turbo-only” main clicky switch, and a smaller, secondary strobe switch, also located on the end cap. I prefer this, as you know you will ALWAYS get the brightest setting whenever you hit the main switch. If you use this in a duty capacity, you’ll know how important this is.There is a side switch that will allow you to access lower-output modes, which I ABSOLUTELY like, as you don’t always need 100% of the lumens all the time. I don’t love the UI for the side switch, having to triple-click the side switch, then press and hold for low mode. I wish the triple click would turn the light on lowest mode instantly. A minor issue, to be sure, but you’ll find yourself waiting an extra second or so to actually be able to use the light in low mode when you need it.The throw on this light is absolutely fantastic. The large head and high candela really allows you to reach out and see at distance. Excellent if you are using this in a duty capacity, have a lot of property to survey, or just like having a ton of light wherever you point this light, no matter the distance. All in all, I really like this flashlight. It is still pocketable despite the size, though for anyone in skinny jeans, this might be relegated to nightstand/car/backpack use only. The 21700 battery allows for high brightness, long throw, and great battery life. If your main concern is getting a light to see long distances, and want access to turbo at any time, this is one of the best lights available.

Internal USB-C charger - Quality build - 4 brightness levels - good buttons - thoughtful
The media could not be loaded. Brinyte PT16 is my new favorite flashlight. Here are my thoughts about it. There are not many reviews of this new light yet, so I'll do my best to provide useful detail. See attached photo & video for buttons & brightness levels.2000 Lumens in a medium sized flashlight! 2000 lumens is almost too bright for anything nearby, but it is great for lighting up things in the distance. This flashlight has both front switch and a set of tail switches. Use either or both.4 brightness levels:Low, middle, High & Turbo, (Runtime)Low: 10 Lumens (16800 minutes/ 11.6 days),Middle: 130 Lumens (1200 minutes / 20 hours),High: 820 Lumens (200 minutes /3.3 hours),Turbo: 2000 Lumens (130 minutes /2.1 hours),Strobe: 1600 LumensSOS: 300 LumensStrobe & SOS only when you want it. I love that this light doesn't go through strobe mode every time you want to cycle through the brightness levels. When you do want strobe mode, it is very quickly available, without making you suffer through it every cycle.SOS mode; get into strobe mode, then double tap the front brightness level button. Instructions don't say how long it can run in SOS mode, but I'd guess more than 11.6 days. SOS mode is at 300 lumens.Battery; this comes with a 5000mAh #21700 Lithium ion battery with protection circuit in the anode. Very powerful and safe too. Amazing battery life.Battery Runtime: Advertised runtime is 16,800 minutes on low (10 lumens). Do the math and that is a runtime of 11.6 days. More than a week of continuous light.Battery meter is built in to the center of the side switch.Green = 70%-100%,Orange = 30%-70%,Red = 10%-30%Flashing Red = less than 10%This battery meter light can stay on 24/7, making it easy to find your flashlight in the dark. After taking this light on a camping trip, I appreciate this little feature! This is a very dim glow and apparently takes almost zero power. Also nice at home, a subtle glowing beacon to locate my flashlight in the dark. I like this.Battery can be charged while in the flashlight! There is a USB-C port on the side of the light. Any USB-C cable will do. Plug into whatever USB power source you already have. You do not need a special charger, and you do not need to remove the battery from the flashlight to charge it. So easy! Love that. I will be running a USB-C cable in the truck so the light can be charging while mounted in a holder.Fit & Finish is excellent. No sharp edges, no burrs. Very professional. All parts fit snugly together. Even the internal machined screw threads are beautifully done. I'm impressed. The quality difference between this and a cheap light is like night and day. This flashlight feels good in the hand, better than most. The tactical crown around the lens is not sharp & will not cut holes in your pockets. I consider that a plus. The tactical ring between the clip & the tail switch gives a solid grip in the hand and can be rotated to your favorite angle. A very positive grip, even if striking. Clip is removable if you want.Glass lens with optical coating. I didn't notice any mention of this in the instructions, but the lens has a robust heavy feel to it, and there is a purple colored reflection when the light is off & you get just the right angle.Operations: There are 2 tail switches (Round & Oval) plus a side switch.A light press on large round tail switch is momentary on, and it comes on very bright. A full press is on & stay on. There is a definite mechanical click when you fully press, so there is no doubt. When the light is on, press the oval tail switch or side switch to cycle through the 4 brightness levels. When the light is on: a long-press of the oval tail switch gets into strobe mode. Any press of oval stops strobe. When the light is off; Press the oval tail switch to get immediate momentary 1600 lumen defensive strobe. Any press will do, long or short, light or full. Release button to power off.Side switch goes into lockout mode after 1 minute of non use. Tap the side switch 3 times to unlock/lock the side switch. Then a long press of the side switch will always start in lowest mode. A short tap of the side switch is supposed to power on at the previous level. I had some uncertainty with that particular feature.I often like to power on in lowest mode, so a long press of the side switch is something I will use a lot. Long press of side switch again to power off.To get into low mode using the tail switch: full press the round tail switch then tap the oval button. This will power on in turbo mode then quickly drop into low mode. A rocking motion of your thumb will do both presses and with practice could become second nature. Conclusions:This is a great high-end flashlight & I really like it. My favorite features include;USB-C charging.Battery life is amazing.Mode cycle pattern avoids strobe & SOS unless you really want them. Two tail switches so you can completely operate with a thumb.Quick access to strobe if you need it.Fit & Finish are excellent.

Pretty Darn Nice Light!
Excellent light for the money. Light is compact, though larger than the Streamlight TL-2X, however, with much more light output. Construction seems to be excellent. Multiple modes such as turbo, strobe, SOS, and four brightness levels. Button feedback from all buttons is nice. The rechargeable battery is a big plus, and only requires a USB Type-C to charge, no charging cradle which is nice for on-the-go charging from a power bank or vehicle USB. Button lockout is a nice feature to ensure the light does not turn on when packed or stowed. You can unlock either using the main tail switch or the or the front switch. Light body does get warm with use.Package includes:* Unit (I should hope, lol)* Rechargeable Battery* USB Type-A to USB Type-C charging cable* Wrist strap* InstructionsI really like that they integrated a charge level indicator into the button, allows the user to see levels at a glance.* Green = Full* Orange = Medium* Red = Low

Instant access to turbo and strobe
I bought this flashlight to keep on the nightstand beside the bed. I like how the rear buttons give you instant access to turbo and strobe. I like that it has a ring on it which prevents it from rolling around when I set it down. There is a dimly lit indicator on the side button which makes finding the light in the dark really easy. That was super important to me. I like that there are several levels of brightness. The usb-c charging is very convenient and the battery level indicator lets you always know the battery status. It’s nice that you can also use cr123a disposable batteries. It’s a little big to carry in my pocket and the clip isn’t a deep one so a lot of the grip sticks out. It also can’t tail stand which I always find useful during power outages. I’ve only had this flashlight for a weeks so this isn’t a long term review but so far I’m very pleased with it. It seems to be constructed well and is really easy to operate.

Brinyte PT16 2000 Tactical Flashlight
Brinyte has once again created a professional tool. The PT16 2000 Tactical is a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) grade flashlight that offers features that give a tactical advantage in a hostile contact. The strobe on this flashlight is one of the fastest and brightest strobe I've seen. It is very easy to access with a dedicated button on the butt of the flashlight. You dont have to cycle through the flashlight settings to get to the strobe. Just pull it from your belt and immediately activate the strobe with the push of the oval button. It would be very difficult for an aggressor to attack when hit with this disorienting strobe. There is also an SOS strobe that is accessed by the oval button. There are 4 flashlight settings from low to a very bright (turbo) level. And the turbo is an aggressive 2000 lumin search light. At its low light level, it is just the right amount of light in a service contact information setting. The PT16 2000 Tactical is made of high grade aluminum. It is dense feeling in your hand. It fits comfortably with no sharp edges. There is a ring stop on the end to keep it securely in your hand even when striking. It has a removable clip that makes it easy to access and with secure ride in your vest. The battery is a rechargeable 21700 lithium ion with a protection circuit. You charge it with a USB C cable. There is a lockout switch on the side of the body that helps prevent accidental activation when riding in your belt. In lock out mode, there is a low light battery charge indicator light. The light makes it easy to find in the dark if you drop it. And the flashlight did fine when I accidentally launched it. They say it is good for a 3 foot drop but it did way better than that. It seems like it will be waterproof but I haven't tried that yet.At $94 dollars, the PT16 2000 Tactical Flashlight is a bargain professional tool. I've used it regularly for a week on the same charge. It can take an impact and keep working. It doesn't accidentally turn on. And the strobe is aggressive. This is my new carry light.
