ContinentalVapor 26 x 2.1" Black Wire Bead

AS DESCRIBED, FAST POST SERVICE. A NICE TIRE FOR A FRONT ONE, SLIGHTLY WIDER CHUNKY BACK ( THATS MY LIKED SETUP) IVE NOT MANGED TO GET OUT ON ANY GOOD CYCLE YET SO I CAN ONLY TELL YOU WHAT I KNOW CURRENTLY. IVE BOUGHT THE Continental Vertical 26 x 2.3" AND THIS ITEM Continental Vapor 26 x 2.1" , I HAVE USED THE VAPOR TIRE MANY YEARS AGO WHEN I LIVED IN WALES - TWO BIKES AGO, VERY GRIPY, SOFT RUBBER BUT STILL HARD WEARING. THATS WHAT BOUGHT ME BACK TO THIS BRAND. SO THE TIRE I USED YEARS BACK I CAN SAY VERY GOOD AND COULD PROB GO AS FAR AS SAYING THE BEST TIRE ON SALE FOR THAT PRICE RANGE, WAS ABOUT £15 FROM SMALL LOCAL BIKE SHOP. SO FAR IVE ONLY MANGED A FEW TRIPS TO THE SHOPS ON MY BIKE AND I CAN SAY THEY ARE BOTH GRIPY, EVEN WHEN ONLY USING REAR BREAKING, THERE IS GOOD STOPPING DISTANCE ( UNLESS I WANT TO SLIDE U CAN BUT WITH THE WEIGHT AT THE REAR OF THE BIKE U CAN STOP QUICKLY WITH ONE BREAK). ATM I CAN ONLY GIVE YOU INFO FROM MY PAST EXPERIENCE WITH THE BRAND, AND LITTLE TIME IVE HAD WITH THESE NEW TIRES. SO FAR IM HAPPY WITH THEM, VERY GRIPPY. THE ONLY THING I REALIZED IS THE Continental Vapor 26 x 2.1" IS A VERY SNUG FIT, TOOK SOME FORCE TO GET IT OVER AND ON THE RIM, BUT THATS NOT A BAD THING, BUT THE Continental Vertical 26 x 2.3" WAS A VERY LOSE FIT WHAT DID MAKE IT HARD TO FIT DUE TO SIDE WALLS WERE NOT VERY STRONG TO FLAPPED ABOUT ABIT ( BUT PUT AN INNER TUBE WITH A LITTLE AIR THE TIRE IS EASIER TO FIT AND FITS WELL. BUT IT IS CUTTING IT CLOSE TO BEING TO BIG FOR A 26'' RIM). I WILL GIVE A FOLLOW UP REVIEW WHEN IVE RACKED UP A FEW 100 MILES ON MIXED ROAD AND OFF ROAD SO I CAN GIVE A FARE ONIST REVIEW. SO FAR WOULD BUY AGAIN

These tyres look ok considering how little they cost. Compared to the continental tyres I was using ten years ago they are lighter and constructed from much thinner materials in particular in the tyre walls and between the tread studding. It remains to be seen if this equates to and advantage or to more punctures and less general robustness and waer resistance. Though there is time yet to prove me wrong, I suspect the latter.

Bought these for the name and the fact I had seen them at a higher price elsewhere. Arrived very quickly after order was placed and fitted bike very well. Excellent grip on and off road. Would certainly buy again.

really recommend these tyres very good grip for the winter months and very good price would buy again

good value tyre only gets light road use but would have no qualms about buying another when the time comes.

Good high quality replacement

I had to replace my 2+ year old tyre's recently as I started to get a few punctures and decided on these. they were easy to fit and they have good grip on road surfaces.
