Works like a charm
The moment I got it, I used it on stumps of invasive honeysuckle, buckthorn, and bittersweet. Worked great! It's sometimes tricky to clamp onto the stump if it's not perfectly shaped, but after some fiddling, all the ones I tackled came right out. Sometimes you also have to separately clamp onto and pull out any big roots that might prevent the stump from coming right out. I'm a petite person and this thing is a heavy duty beast, but I had no trouble handling it. It's a life saver. Worth every penny of the somewhat breathtaking price.

Well built , very sturdy
It works well on privet and especially on honeysuckle. So far, I've had no success with small trees with over an inch or 1.5 inch diameter, they're too strong. 2 inches max diameter might be pushing it, it's very close. I'm 6 ft and 200 lb and I can't pull out anything that big, even by bouncing on it with all my weight. It cuts the time down by half at least, maybe 4x. The amount of effort required drops by 10x, no exaggeration. It's pretty satisfying to use too.I've had good results so far with a slow, steady pull. It grips surprisingly small stuff too but those tend to snap more often than not. I think $400 is a bit high but I wasn't able to find anything close to this. However, there's a good chance I will be dead before this thing breaks.

As good as I hoped
Well constructed and heavy. I got the large size and it’s a workout. Pulled several volunteer maples and I’m impressed. I benefited from soft ground but it was able to pull many of the bigger ones. Expensive but saves so much time and gets most of the roots.

Works as advertised.
I used this to remove several small saplings that had been recurring next to my deck. Pulled the root system out with minimal effort on my part. Hopefully that will eliminate future recurrences.

⭐️✨This is a 15 star tool💫🌟
I am reclaiming briar, blackberry, and scotch broom infested land. In the Pacific Northwest we are always fighting these invasive species, plus keeping fir and alder in check. I refuse to use chemicals and wanted a tool rather than a brush grabber that needed to be hooked up to a quad. Oh, yeah…. I am 69 and do this stuff myself😊. By the time I paid sales tax this was in the neighborhood of $540! This is not an amount of money to sneeze at! I looked for reviews about blackberry root balls etc… and didn’t see anything about the type of clearing I intended to use it for. Soooooo. I was nervous and super excited for it to arrive! It is worth every penny!!!!! I have pulled blackberry root balls, fir starts, briar root systems, scotch broom weeds!!!!! The important thing to know is it was with minimal effort. The things I pulled came out like butter!😊 It would have been hours of backbreaking digging with a mattock and hours of additional root pulling just to accomplish what I did today “test driving” the tool for 15 minutes. It was carefully shipped and is a sturdy substantial tool you will have and use for life! I am a very pleased customer who’s an older woman! If I can use it you can too! I would give this item 15 stars if I could!

Heavy Duty, should last generations
I've been using it to pull brush and undergrowth from a hal-zcre woided lot, and it works great. For larger, deeper rooted plants it requires some muscle. One suggestion I have is have more aggressive serrations on the jaws to grip stems. I may take an angle grinder to mine to sharpen up the grooves

This thing is legit!
I live on a couple acres with about 1/4 of it wooded so I constantly get little saplings pop up. Noticed 3 cedars the other day that I let get away from me and couldn't pull them by hand. Threw this thing around them and sucked them out of the ground like nobody's business. Definitely going to get some use around here.
