Unique Design
This is a great design for a tamagoyaki pan! I have one of the classic (?) pans with a flat bottom and the handle on the short side. This curved design is an improvement on that, making it easier to get the roll started.Egg can pool a little in the middle on this before it sets, but cooking eggs like this in any pan requires constant attention, so rocking it as it cooks to prevent that is a fair trade off for how easy it is to start rolling with this pan.It would be a great tamagoyaki pan for a beginner, but more experienced cooks would like it, too unless they are insistent on using more traditional cooking tools. I feel like this can be the case especially with Asian cooking sometimes, but the results are more important than the tools for me. That's surely an American view of it, though.

Very Unique Pan for Japanese Omelets
I am the omelet queen at my house and really love making omelets with all kinds of ingredients. Until now, though, I'd never made a Japanese omelet or even heard of them. When I ordered the pan, I watched a couple of videos about how it was done and easy peasy, I can now make Japanese omelets! The pan is non-stick, comes with a spatula made for the pan and is graduated to make it easier for a beginner to roll the omelet. It really works beautifully and turns out a quality product each time. And the omelets made with tons of super thin layers are really really tasty. If you order the pan, I encourage you to watch some videos to really learn the technique and go for it!
