This is a nice set of tongs. My old ones were stainless without any type of grip pads. I struggled to hold on to them. After being burnt a few times with old ones I decided I needed to get some new ones. I love the grip pads on these and the 3 size set. Good value for money. The high heat tolerance assured me they will work well in my kitchen. The spring action is good and the locks do work at this time. As the get older that may change as it has with past kitchen tongs. It isn't important though as I store them in a drawer. Value for the money is good and they feel good in the hand. I expect them to last awhile. I recommend.

These tongs are great. I bought several for alternate uses In house. (taking laundry out of washer is much easier with these for example). Holding up well & easy to use.

Love these tongs for use in my nonstick pots and pans so they don't scratch. The lock is so easy compared to the old style cheapo tongs with the metal band that seems to never want to be in the right place at the right time.
