This winch is perfect for my purpose, mounted on my tractor or other anchor, for pulling trees, logs, etc and recovery. The gear ratio is lower than most, so it moves the rope faster - a plus for me. I like the remote, and the clutch design. I may have been sent a unit that was returned in flimsy packaging. Not sure, but an operational problem that was the result was easily fixed, and the seller arranged for parts to be sent. This means a lot, that parts can be ordered in case of a problem. Looking inside the winch, all components are very heavy duty, no hidden weakness that I could see.
