Exploring Dartmoor National Park...
The Dartmoor National Park in southwest England is one of the last wild spaces left in southern England. Pathways wind among hills and across moors, skirting the remains of much older habitation. The southern third of the park is depicted on this recent Ordnance Survey Landranger map. The map also includes the English Channel coast around Torbay, including the South West Coast Path. The map has a useful scale of 1:50,000. The graphics are easy to read and in good enough detail for cross country navigation under at least half way decent conditions. The map is also good for the network of country roads south of the park. The map is paper except for the plasticized cover and may need protection from weathers. It has a downloadable feature for your mobile/I-phone. Highly recommended to intrepid travelers, whether on foot or moving by automobile or bike.
