Great little book for the enthusiast!!!!! Love it!!!!

With those terse words ringing in my ears, I jumped at the chance to buy this book. "Prepared by Direction of the Minister of Supply" and "Promulgated (no less) by Order of the Air Council" are two of the phrases adorning it's cover. We certainly knew how to make such a miniscule publication sound so grand in those days.The Pilot's Notes for this iconic aircraft give a good insight into what it must have been like back then and it's scary to think that the audio manual for most cars these days is a good deal lengthier than this handbook! A real must for all Spitfire fans - buy it!

I now have a collection of Pilot's Notes for different aircraft/marks and I find it extremely interesting reading through and comparing them. A must for any enthusiast.

This is a beautiful home made reproduction, complete with authentic binding. The little pamphlet of photocopied articles was a nice surprise, too!
