VITURE USB-C to Glasses and Charging Adapter, Charge and Play, Switch, Steam Deck

UPDATE - 7/23/2025 I worked with Amazon to get the correct Charging Adapter (it was tricky to find the correct one, because the listings and descriptions were the same for that one as this one at the time, and Amazon sent me another wrong adapter, but we finally worked it out). In addition, VITURE contacted me, and provided fantastic customer service! The company has gone out of their way to help correct this issue, and it appears that this page listing has been changed to accurately reflect the correct product description. Unfortunately, I had to return the VITURE Pro XR Glasses, due to some difficulty with edge blurring and clarity, but am hoping that I will be able to purchase the VITURE Luma Pro glasses when they are released. VITURE has really gone above and beyond in their support, and for me, that is really important when choosing what new technologies I will save up to purchase. Their care and assistance really helped instill confidence in their commitment to customer satisfaction, and that makes all of the difference. I have changed the rating on this review to reflect my brief use of the correct USB-C XR Adapter, which was truly everything it is supposed to be. I look forward to seeing whether I will be able to purchase the VITURE Luma Pro glasses, and wouldn't have been inclined to try again, if not for the proactive customer support from VITURE. *Original Review of Incorrect Product Listing * As other reviewers have noted, this item is advertised as a VITURE USB-C XR Charging adapter, but it is NOT. This is the general VITURE USB-C Charging adapter, and does not have the USB-C XR features it advertises. Maybe the sellers mistakenly pasted the name and language from the XR adapter. I purchased this as a gift along with the XR Pro glasses, and spent two days trying to update firmware, deal with customer support, and research solutions online, only to discover that there are at least two listings for the USB-C XR, and this one isn’t the real one. I’m waiting for Amazon to send me a replacement with the correct one, but am worried that I’ll just receive this item again (despite being assured that I will receive the XR adapter). If you’re looking for the XR adapter, look at other listings. I’m very disappointed in this false advertising, and bummed that the recipient of this gift has to wait to see if they will get the correct one this time.

I feel like I've been looking for this cable for years. If you have a monitor or screen that can accept video via USB-C it's a great benefit to hook up a Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck for a bigger screen. Only, if you do this, you can't charge the device at the same time. And all the docks I've seen focus on converting the video signal to HDMI. This dock will connect to the single USB-C port on a Switch or Steam Deck and let you plug in on USB-C cord for power and another to send video out to a monitor. It's great. Heads up for Switch users: I needed a 45W charger to power the switch and portable monitor that I use. Also the Switch won't connect to the monitor unless you plug everything in, in a specific order (it's stupid, but for any aftermarket dock I've used it's been the case). I think the order is power and video usb-c into the adapter, then plug the adapter into the switch, but I'm not sure. If you are getting power to the switch, but the monitor isn't getting video, your charger is too weak or the order you set things up was wrong. The steam deck is way simpler, should be plug and play.

Purchased this adapter specifically to connect to my Steamdeck, power supply and Viture Luma pro glasses. It has been working without any issues from day one. I have used power supplies that range in power from 10 watt all the way to 100 watt and charging has been consistent and the images on the glasses have been solid.

This is an affordable adapter that makes it easy to charge + use at once. It is essential (if you don't buy the more expensive dock) if you want to use the Viture with a Switch. It is also extremely useful for other devices (such as phones, tablets, or older laptops) that only have a single USB-C port. Unfortunately, this adapter doesn't always work reliably. In some cases, it requires connecting components in a specific order, and in others only works if the display cables are facing the right direction (the usb-c standard is far from perfect, even when manufacturers implement it perfectly). For my laptop, the dongle will work perfectly one day, and then not at all the next no matter how I try it. In this case, the glasses (and charging cable) both work fine if individually connected directly to the laptop. In addition to the issues mentioned above, I believe my laptops USB-C port is slightly loose, such that sometimes this cable doesn't quite sit correctly, an issue that will only grow worse as both dongle and laptop continue to wear. 2 simple changes would greatly improve usability (and long-term reliability) of this dongle in my opinion: - Better label the connectors to be able to identify which port is which in dark settings - Replace the fixed-cable end with another female connector (and bundle a short C-to-C cable)

Quality device and not too heavy if you want to use it for your phone or Switch 1/OLED. **NOT COMPATIBLE WITH SWITCH 2** as I just found out. Need to get the pro mobile dock from Viture instead.

Bought this because it was suggested as a solution for charging and using a portable monitor at the same time on a ROG Ally. Functioned fairly well for the entire vacation. When we got home, I used the same configuration so I could play a game in bed and the entire setup went haywire. The Ally was hopping between battery and power and the output to the monitor did the same. It was after this that I paid more attention to the reviews citing inconsistent build quality. Thankfully, whatever "voodoo" (as the post that described this product) was used to create this device is more widely known and I was able to find a cheaper alternative with a (ironically) higher build quality.
