Got it for a Christmas gift for myself, started it on Christmas day finished it today. 424 pages and I'd read it again. Heck I probably will. If you love Gaston since he's the only real Disney villain left, you'll enjoy this book. One thing I wish that would happen and what I'm about to say next is a spoiler however you'll put two and two together quickly. . . . . . . I wish we were given an extra chapter for The Prince/The Beast and the servants to have a moment of recognition after they'd turned back to normal, regaining their memories and of the like. I think it would've been heartbreaking for The Prince, Mrs. Potts and the rest to find Gaston's body and just weep. Maybe making a grave next to his mothers in the same marble of his mothers. Obviously, The Prince tells Belle about his past with Gaston, and she helps him mourn the loss of his friend. I just think it would've been a nice touch Review: Yes! - I've been a fan of Serena Valentino for a few years now. I love her books and seeing the different perspectives of the villains and characters that she writes about! Its cool seeing a different backstory to a character we know about. I know theres other respective authors out there who may be doing the same thing but theres just something about Valentinos books that always keep me engaged and interested. I get lost in her stories and find myself relating to the characters and feeling for them as their story unfolds. I just love how she writes! She's just an amazing author! I definitely recommend her books to those who love to read. Im looking forward to her next projects!

10/10 worth it
Absolutely amazing. Got it for a Christmas gift for myself, started it on Christmas day finished it today. 424 pages and I'd read it again. Heck I probably will. If you love Gaston since he's the only real Disney villain left, you'll enjoy this book. I've been a fan of Serena Valentino for a few years now. I love her books and seeing the different perspectives of the villains and characters that she writes about! Its cool seeing a different backstory to a character we know about. I know theres other respective authors out there who may be doing the same thing but theres just something about Valentinos books that always keep me engaged and interested. I get lost in her stories and find myself relating to the characters and feeling for them as their story unfolds. I just love how she writes! She's just an amazing author! I definitely recommend her books to those who love to read. Im looking forward to her next projects!

Great price and love the story
I have been keeping up with this and 3 more disney series as they release. This is a series that NEEDS to be read in order. It will.not make any sense otherwise. However i highly reccommend this series the original stories we know behind the scenes and through a while new eye. It has been amazing and i cannot wait till the newest one is released.

I love these books. Getting to learn a little more about some of the characters we grew up watching is really fun! It has definitely helped me to understand why the characters acted the way they did.

Interesting read!
I'm always in awe at the way Serena is able to weave the stories we know and love into her own. This is no exception! A glimpse into Gaston's past is something I've always wanted and now that I have it, I'm happy. The last few chapters do feel a bit rushed, on the other hand. It's as if the climax of the story happens and just kinda falls off super quick. Still a fantastic read, only missing one star for the abruptness of the end. Overall, will read again!
