Excellent Product for Drainage Issues
Firstly I'd like to agree with the other the majority here - this is a high quality product. The outer shell fabric is thick and tough and the plastic liner on the inside is much thicker than I expected it to be. I suspect that this will last quite a long time so long as it's not abused. I think this sort of sandbag is best used for diverting water flow - not repelling it. In my case, I needed to redirect rainwater runoff away from a sunken area on my patio to ensure it flows away from the house. I won't be moving it unless I have to because all the leaks and seepage under the sandbag clog with small bits of stuff that travel with the rainwater. Each time it rains, it gets a little dirtier and becomes that much more effective. Eventually I'll fix the patio, but for now, this is a fantastic temporary solution. I think these bags could be used for a variety of similar situations. On the other hand, if you're looking for something to put in a doorway to stop rainwater from coming in and ruining your hardwood floors - this is not, nor is any other product like it, the solution. Sandbags are not waterproof. Water will seep under it or any of the other similar options including those "sandless" ones. You need to get your problem fixed properly rather than trying to use a product like this. Garage door? Have a look at garage door thresholds - this will keep the rainwater out so long as it is not deeper than the threshold height. Door problems need to be fixed at the threshold by height or slope - not with sandbags - that's my 2c at least. Some additional thoughts: - Filling is made much easier if you use a canning funnel. Amazon suggested it when I bought this. I used a bit of packing tape to join the liner to the funnel and a big solo cup to dump sand in. Could have been an awkward messy job but this approach made it easy and quick. - I wish these were less expensive, but I'd not want the seller to compromise the quality. It's rare that you receive a higher quality product than you expected. - When you're filling it - especially if the sand is dry - wear a dust mask - breathing in dust from the sand is not good for you!

Excellent design - quality construction - easy to move
When we get heavy rains - as happens increasingly often - the water from the street floods my driveway and gets into my basement. The sand snake is the PERFECT solution for me. I put it at the edge of my driveway and it blocks 100% of the water. The long, narrow design means that it weighs less per foot of protection than anything else I've found, with the result that it's easy for me to move it when I need to (which, in a driveway, is often) (I'm 67, so this is saying something!) It's very high quality. The "fabric" is extremely tough. Great product!

Effective in channeling water - but a bit of a challenge to fill
This is the second order we have received. Didn't get enough the first time. They work pretty well at channeling water away from your house. They are a little difficult to fill. Definitely takes two people and some kind of funnel to get the sand into the bag. We used a "jar filler" that you use when canning tomatoes. It worked pretty well.

Worked great
Great product. I wanted to use these on the beach to hold down the tent l have, so I ordered 2 of them. I got them in and they have this double sided tape that you use for a permanent solution. I wasn't sure what to do for my situation so I emailed them. I got reply back very quickly (to use a "binder clip") so I went to the beach and they worked perfectly. I started out by filling these first then set up my tent. Put these in the back I had zero issues. Then when we left for the day just dumped the sand right back on the beach.

These are built to last
I bought my first one of these nine years ago. And since added two more. I have stored them outdoors in all seasons, temperatures ranging from below zero to above 100. They've been half buried in dirt much of the time, and mostly endured damp and shaded locations. All three have shown great integrity. One thing I have not done, nor intend to ever do, is run over them with my truck. You do that, you're on your own. Also, do take care to fill them up properly. Use a funnel and play sand not construction sand which has abrasive pebbles. Follow the instructions. Take your time and do it right. I just ordered several more--two for a neighbor who borrowed them after her porch got flooded during a big rain. (She never had another problem with these in place).

Buy them if you NEED them...
A bit pricey to me. Definitely a PITA to fill. I doubt I've ever filled one without letting some expletives fly. The process packs the sand in very compactly. The end result is that the bag is rock-hard and doesn't really conform to the terrain on which you're placing it. If you think you can just partially fill the bag to make it more shapeable, you're wrong - it just doesn't work that way. The result will be unusable. So you're left with a bag that's straight and hard as a rock - not ideal for its purpose. But the reason you're buying these is because you have some sort of problem to address - like a neigbor's yard that drains directly to yours and causes SEVERE flooding of your back deck and pool area!!! Bottom line: I'm glad these are available but think improvements could be made.

Awesome......Snake sandbag
We love it.... Wish we would've bought this sooner, it helps redirect the water running down our driveway from flooding our garage. Before ordering this we was using bigger sand bags an I couldn't lift them they were so heavy so I would have to wait for my husband to get home an by that time my garage would already be flooded. This snake sandbag is so easy for me to lift an lay in the position we need it in. We highly recommend this snake sandbag.

Works great to seal out cold air and black color fits in with any decor
I bought 2 three-foot bags to keep cold drafts from coming under my doors. After forty years of settling, the heavy wooden double doors that open into my living room from the front porch simply don't hang plumb or level. I read a lot of reviews saying fabric and plastic filled draft stoppers are not heavy enough to conform and really stop drafts. This, combined with the fact that I had a difficult time finding draft stoppers that were not cute cats or some other kitschy pattern, led me to checking out the snake sandbags. As soon as they arrived, I filled them with playground sand and they are performing beautifully. Because of their weight, they conform perfectly to the floor/door and seal out all drafts. I like the basic black because they don't call attention to themselves and will fit in with any decor. I would suggest the company rewrite the instructions regarding how to use the sealing tape to seal the interior plastic bag. Anyone will figure it out eventually (or give up and just use common sense) but the instructions need to be rewritten to be much clearer. This is a tiny complaint. Overall, I love them and will be ordering two additional ones for two other exterior doors.
