Robert Friddell does a spectacular job in capturing the journey of UVA basketball over the last decade. The story of Tony Bennett building the program into a National Champion told from the perspective of those who played for him and coached with him, is truly something to behold. This book provides a great way to see the story behind the story. It was heartwarming getting to know the players who laid the foundation for what we’ve grown accustomed to seeing today with UVA basketball.

A very well-organized, well-interviewed collection the exact words of players, coaches, members of Tony Bennett’s program, from his start to the Natty. Inspirational in a way that few books like these could be.

As an avid Tar Heel, UVA basketball isn’t really my thing. But there’s no denying the greatness of what has been built in Charlottesville—don’t miss out on this fantastic read!
