I love these pencils
20 years ago my art teacher recommended these and I have been using them ever since. They are great for drawing.

Best pencils in the world
The lead is soft but great for drawing line work, and both detailing and shading. My Father was an architect and these are the pencils he used to draw with. They were fun to steal from his office. I had heard that the quality isn't as good as it used to be but I think it's still great.

Good Product
I've used this for years, it is a very good sketching pencil/lead. Ran out last week, now with COVID , going out to the art store for supplies is out of the question. Happy to see that it was listed on Amazon. Took no time at all to get this order. Thanks.

Good pencil
My art teacher recommended this pencil for drawing plans for oil paintings. Draws fairly dark, does the job.

what's coming of this world? now i cannot get #314 'draughting' pencils like they used to make?! these do not have the same dark velvety line; new improved[not!] formula, guys?

Pencil bends, wood cracks, eventually breaks
Took to these pencils right away even though they were not like the pencils I used ‘back in the day ‘. Disappointed in that but neverthe- less I was glad to have them until I realized they seemed to get soft and bend. Then they would break. Can you fix this problem?
