Don't bother. If you have a small long tear this is great, say no more than 6 inches, at most. Not good for any type of HOLE though, only long tears!!! And if you are 100% sure where the tear is. Anything else, please don't waste your money. I used it and still have a hole, which I thought this would sort out. But it did not seal it. Although to be fair, my pond is 20 feet long and 6 foot wide, so finding the hole was an issue! I also have unsightly pond tape all in my pond. Using this made it worse. The whole pond now needs ripping out and replacing. I have had to move all my fish, lilies and pond plants. Disturb the newts, frogs and toads. Really not happy with this.

This stuff does all.Had to join existing polyurethane pond liner to new section so as to extend pond, avoided big job of stripping back old liner from existing pond, lowered water level so as i could work with the two edges of liners. Using a multi layered configuration, worked first time, no leaks. This tape is very sticky, can only describe as a sticky rubberised tape, i used this in mid november so god only knows how sticky this would be on a hot summers day.Highly recommended, and as far as i know the only product to join polyurethane liners.

Sealed up cuts & holes in my pond liner. I used a hot air gun to melt the bitumen tape to get it to stick properly, and where I could I put it on both sides. No leaks now.

Had a Large Hole in my Butyl Pond liner I think caused by a large rock falling in this stuff sticks like the Proverbial to a barn door. I cleaned the liner around the hole and gave it a quick sanding then put on the tape over the hole it works better than could be expected
